Matteo Carollo
Product Marketing Manager, Low Voltage Products

Matteo joined ABB in 2005 as global Product Manager for Moulded-Case Circuit Breakers in
Italy. He was involved in the development of the new MCCBs series that is now widely
available in the global market. Starting from October, Matteo assumed management
responsibility for Product Marketing, Low Voltage Products for ABB in Australia. Matteo is
based in Melbourne.
John Beniston
Head of International Marketing and Sales Intelligent Building Control (KNX)
John Beniston presently heads ABB’s international KNX sales and marketing team coordinating
business in more than 60 countries worldwide. He stated his career with ABB in Heidelberg,
Germany in 1993 working on the development of electronic circuit breakers. Since then he has
accompanied the development of smart home and intelligent building control for over 14 years
in various roles including head of product management and head of innovation management.
John has degrees in engineering and business administration from America, Germany and the
United Kingdom.

Ventyx, an ABB Company
Cosimo joined Ventyx, an ABB company, in 1998 and has held several positions in a technical
and business development role within Ventyx. Through his 25 years involvement in the
Australian Electricity industry plus hands on experience in Energy Portfolio and Network
management, Cosimo has become a thought leader in Smartgrid applications in the Australian
market. Cosimo is based in Adelaide.
Andres Kronenberg
Group Vice President, Head of Sales
Renewable Power Generation
Andres has a strong background in chemical process engineering, environmental technology
and business management and has been working for 23 years in plant construction for the
environmental and renewable industry. Andres was a director for a global leader in generating
energy from waste before joining ABB in 2011 with a clear focus on renewable power plants.
Andres is located at ABB headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

Antti Hakala-Ranta
Global Product Manager for Distribution Automation
ABB in Finland
Antti joined ABB in 1992 and since then has worked in different positions with power plant automation, substation automation, SCADA systems and protection relays. He has vast experience in
R&D of protection relays and communication systems. Antti also contributed to the development
of IEC 61850 standard, being a member of IEC Technical Committee 57 WG10. He is currently
the Global Product Manager for ABB’s Medium Voltage Products, Distribution Automation product group and has held this position since 2007. Antti has MSc degree in Electrical Engineering
from Tampere University of Technology, and is currently based in Finland.
Jyrki Leppanen
Global Market Manager, Solar inverters
ABB in Finland
Jyrki holds a Masters degree in Technical Physics from Helsinki University of Technology in
Finland, specialising in renewable energy. He started his career in 1989 with a Finnish national oil
and gas company, researching energy storage plus building integrated photovoltaic (PV) systems
before moving to a national utility company. Jyrki joined ABB’s solar inverter team in 2009 and
has over 23 years experience in renewable energy - specifically PV systems, including several
patents. Jyrki is based in Finland.
Dushant Chauhan
Sales Manager, Power Electronics Systems
ABB in Australia
Over the past 17 years, Dushant has worked both in India and Australia providing technical sales
experience to a number of international projects before joining the power electronics team at
ABB in Australia during 2010. Most recently he contributed to developing and launching ABB’s
PCS100 STATCOM in Australia as well as the European market. Dushant is also responsible for
power quality equipment and electrical vehicle charging in the Australian and New Zealand markets. Dushant is based in Mebourne, Australia.
Rob Terrell

Rob joined ABB in 2001 as a specialist in industrial water treatment in ABB Consulting. His
30 years of experience in the subject has been spent supporting customers in a wide range of
industry sectors, including refining and petrochemicals, heavy and fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, brewing, minerals, metals and electronics. He is involved in all aspects of industrial water
from clean water systems to wastewater treatment. Rob is based in the United Kingdom.

David Olofsson
Territory Marketing Manager, Breakers and Modules
ABB in Australia
David joined ABB Ludvika, Sweden to work for the global marketing team for High Voltage
Circuit Breakers and in 2011, he moved to Australia to support the South Asia region with
innovative switchgear solutions. He has gained considerable knowledge in modern substation
designs that provide significant reduced equipment count, increased availability and an overall
smaller footprint. David is based in Sydney, Australia.
