Walker, Pastor, Barbara Lawson, Choir Director, Grace Daniel, Organist, Kara W. Turk, Children’s Ministries, Laurie Obert-Thorn, Office Manager, Liz & Will Conner, Youth Ministries, Pearlie Mae West, Nursery Attendant, Bobby Carter, Custodian Asa Randolph Coody, son of Randy & Joni Coody and grandson of the late Robert & Doris Coody and Harris and the late Barbara Hardin, will graduate from Westfield School in Perry. Asa played varsity football for four years and was a member of the wrestling team. Asa will be attending East Georgia College in Statesboro to pursue a degree in Business Administration. Vince Fisler, son of Scott & Nena Fisler and Denise & Al Baggett, will be graduating with the highest average of his senior class in A/P English Literature. He was 1st Team All Region Wide Receiver in Football 2012. Vince was Captain of H.H.S. Baseball his Junior and Senior years and he was 1st Team All Region Infielder in 2011, 2012 & 2013. Vince is planning on attending Georgia Southern in the Fall to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine. Tori Elizabeth Peavy, daughter of Luke Peavy and Kathy & Buddy Davis, will graduate with Honors from Hawkinsville High School. She has been a Student Council member and Class President all 4 years. Tori has been a football and competition cheerleader for 3 years and was selected Prom Queen this year by her peers. Tori is the 2013 recipient of the Charles Johnson scholarship. She will attend Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah to pursue a degree in Rehabilitation Sciences. Andy Easterling, son of Guy Easterling & Lisa Witherington, will graduate from Hawkinsville High School. Michael Long, son of Keith & Holly Long and grandson of Nicky & Linda Cabero, will graduate with honors from Hawkinsville High School. Michael will attend Middle Georgia State College in the Fall to pursue a pre-pharmacy degree and then transfer to University of Georgia to attend pharmacy school. Holly Ann Walker, daughter of John & Nancy Walker, will graduate from Hawkinsville High School. Holly played the piano since 3rd grade and has participated in recitals and piano festivals. Holly has been involved in Band, FCCLA and FBLA throughout high school. Holly will attend Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus in the fall and pursue a degree in nursing. Abbye Coody graduated from Georgia Southern University. She received a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and a minor in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing. She is currently working as a Supervising Intern at the Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head. She will complete her internship in August and hopes to continue working at The Sea Pines Resort in a management or supervisory position. Gregg Vickers is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where he was a member of the University Honors Program. He majored in Accounting with a minor in Business Management. While attending college, he served as the President of his fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, and as the President of the Order of Omega. He has accepted a Graduate Assistantship position at Ole Miss where he will be pursuing a Masters of Taxation degree this fall. Don Vickers graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University Honors Program at Georgia Southern with a degree in Biology. He held various leadership positions in his fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, as well as other honor societies. Don will begin at the Medical College of Georgia for a summer program in Augusta and will attend the Medical College campus in Athens in the fall. He is currently undecided about which field of medicine he wishes to enter. James Hall, son of Clay & Sara Hall, is a graduate of LaGrange College with a degree in History. Ben & Dale Taylor Woods family TRUSTEES MEETING WEDNESDAY 5/15 at 5:00 Due to scheduling conflicts, the Church Council meeting for June has been rescheduled for June 2nd at 4:00 pm. Family Cookout at the River Park Sunday, May 19th 5:00-7:00 pm All children and their families are encouraged to attend. Children 2nd grade and younger must be accompanied by a supervising adult but we hope that all parents will want to attend. Let Kara know by Wednesday if you will attend so we can plan the food.
