APPLE GALETTE Recipe
For groups of 4 or more.
Ingredients:
3
apples
30 mL
sugar
5 mL
cinnamon
15 mL
honey
15 mL
butter cut into small pieces
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Peel, halve and core the apples and
slice them crosswise 5mm inch thick.
In a small bowl, combine the sugar
and cinnamon.
3. On a lightly floured work surface,
roll out the pastry to a 30 cm round
and transfer to a parchment lined
baking sheet. Spread the chopped
apples over the pastry to within 4cm
of the edge. Drizzle the honey over
the chopped apples. Sprinkle the
cinnamon sugar evenly over the
apples and dot with the pieces of
butter. Fold the pastry edge up and
over the apples to create a 3cm
border.
4. Bake the galette for about 50
minutes, until the pastry is nicely
browned and crisp and all of the
apples are tender. Transfer the pan to
a rack and let the galette cool. Serve
warm or at room temperature.
