PC Power Tool Data Sheet
Data Sheet PC Power Tool™ and PC Power Tool ST System programming software Russound’s PC Power Tool and PC Power Tool ST software provides a convenient computer-based solution for programming RNET® multiroom audio systems and Smart Tuners. PC Power Tool is for setting up sources, zones, and other system features on Russound RNET systems such as the CAV6.6 and CAM6.6. It is also used for creating custom source names on those systems. PC Power Tool ST is for use with Russound Smart Tuners (ST2, ST2S, ST2-XM, and ST2-XM2) and tuner modules in the CAM6.6T and CAM6.6X systems. This tool is used for setting up AM/FM, XM, and SIRIUS tuner preset banks, creating custom bank and preset names, and configuring tuners for RNET systems. PC Power Tool and PC Power Tool ST can be used for programming connected devices or for creating project files to be loaded into devices later. In addition, PC Power Tool ST allows real-time control of certain functions on a connected tuner. Both programs offer complete flexibility to manage project files. They allow the installer to create a project file in the office and later load the settings into the device at the job site. The installer can also read the current settings from a device and save them as a project file. This allows editing the settings and reloading them or using the same settings on a different device. Each project file includes sections for installer and customer information. The installer can also print device settings for the job documentation. Running on personal computers in the familiar Windows environment, PC Power Tool and PC Power Tool ST include the usual standard menu options, including a built-in help menu. The PC Power Tool kit includes two program CDs, a deluxe punch-down tool, a quick-start guide, and controller and keypad programming cables in a rugged carrying case. The program discs include product manuals for the CAV6.6 and CAM6.6 systems and the ST2 series Smart Tuners, all in PDF. PC Power Tool ST is also available as a free download for current registered owners of the original PC Power Tool software. Installers can register the software at www.russound.com/productregistration to become eligible for updates and enhancements. PC Power Tool and PC Power Tool ST enable programming Russound Smart Tuners and RNET® systems from a Windows-based computer.
