TOPIC: HOW TO AVOID CYBERCRIMINALS
The news today is full of security breaches at large companies – Anthem,
Sony, Home Depot, Target, Schnucks, and the list goes on. The fact is,
most security breaches go undetected. In addition, with regulations like
PCI for the credit card industry, and HIPAA for the medical industry, fines
for breaches are increasing. Plus, there is the embarrassment and PR
factor that likely has a larger impact. Stolen data, including credit card
numbers and health records, is rising in value, and the Cybercriminals are
following the money. In this presentation,Mike Minkler will tell you what
you and your business can do to protect yourself in today’s dangerous
online world.

CHAMBER
BUCKS
PROGRAM
For each member you refer, we will give you either $25 off your
membership or a free luncheon. (The option of $25 off the membership
dues is capped to the amount of the referrer’s membership dues.)
This program helps both the member making the referral and the
chamber. The person making the referral doesn’t need to bring in a
membership application – just the name of a person that might benefit
from a chamber membership. We will take care of explaining the
benefits of being a member and signing them up.
Get ready for four days of family fun! Creve Coeur Days will take place from
Thursday, June 25 through Sunday, June 28, at De Smet Jesuit High School,
233 N. New Ballas Road. This family-friendly event features a carnival
midway, variety of refreshment options and live entertainment.
Carnival Midway Hours:
Thursday, June 25: 6:00-10:00 p.m.
Friday, June 26: 6:00-11:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 27: Noon-11:00 p.m.
Sunday, June 28: Noon-6:00 p.m.
On Thursday, purchase a $20 arm band for unlimited rides! Music and
children’s entertainment is scheduled throughout the weekend.
CREVE COEUR DENTISTRY RIBBON CUTTING
Creve Coeur Days is sponsored by the Creve Coeur Days Board, a nonprofit
organization raising money for local charities. For more information or to
volunteer, please visit www.crevecoeurdays.com.
The parade is scheduled for June 28 at 1:00 p.m. along North New Ballas
Road. If you are interested in having a vehicle in the parade the registration
form may be found on the Creve Coeur Days website.
Please consider joining our chamber as we participate in the parade, by
walking beside the chamber car. Fastsigns will give a Chamber discount to
members who would like a sign made for their business for the parade to
show support for the community of Creve Coeur.
Creve Coeur Dentistry held a ribbon cutting at its new location at 11437
Olive Blvd. on Friday, May 8th. Creve Coeur Mayor Barry Glantz was on
hand to cut the ribbon and had a few words of welcome to this new
business.
Tours and treats were provided to the public as well as a “new patient
special” of cleaning, exam and digital x-rays for the low price of $59.
Finding a dentist that is dedicated to your dental care can be difficult.
Creve Coeur Dentistry’s friendly and knowledgeable staff is committed to
understanding and meeting your needs.
Cori Krumme, our chamber representative, is excited to meet members
of the chamber. Call her at 314-355-2000 for more details about the Creve
Coeur Dentistry practice.

2015 SENIOR EXPO
NOT JUST FOR THE ELDERLY
VIA CESTARI RIBBON CUTTING
Valeria Cestari and Mayor Glantz jointly cut the ceremonial ribbon
A ribbon cutting was held May 7th at VIA CESTARI’s new location in
Creve Coeur at 680 Craig Road. Chamber members and guests
enjoyed refreshments and tours of the new, well-appointed treatment
rooms revealed the most updated and modern technology coupled with
a spa-like setting.
Valeria Cestari, M.D. is the owner and Executive Director of VIA
CESTARI. It is the only professional skin care provider to offer both
mobile and in-office services in the St. Louis area.
Staff at VIA CESTARI understand that wellness plus confidence
equals beauty, independent of the person’s gender, age, shape, size,
ethnicity and color. It is based on this understanding, that the licensed
and experienced staff from VIA CESTARI thrive in offering transparent,
simple and updated procedures to correct, improve and enhance the
personal image. Contact Valeria at 314-695-5427 to arrange a visit.
You are invited to attend the Chamber’s second annual Senior Expo. Our
resource fair is geared toward older adults, their families and caregivers
and is being held Wednesday, June 10th at Orlando’s Event and
Conference Center, located at 2050 Dorsett Village in Maryland Heights
from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The most difficult thing a family has to do is to figure out the next steps
for its beloved aged parents or elderly loved ones. Often times, people are
thrust into those difficult decisions with the least amount of information.
The exhibitors will be addressing such issues as retirement living, financial
planning, long term care, elder law and estate planning, senior care and
senior adult support services.
There is no admission, so please bring as many family and friends who
may be involved in the decision process. Whether you are considering
adjustments to your current home or relocation altogether, there is a
vendor for you.
There is plenty of parking and refreshments will be available. Brookdale
Senior Living is the Platinum Sponsor. Gold Sponsors include Cape
Albeon, Home Care Assistance/Care Choice Care Management, Mercy
Hospita, Parc Provence and StoneBridge Senior Living. Silver sponsors
include Creve Coeur Assisted Living and Memory Care, Seniors Helping
Seniors, Unity Hospice and Veterans Home Care/Certified Senior Housing
Professional.
If you would like to target the senior population, there are still booths
available for the expo. Call the chamber office for details.

But there’s more to it than just owning a few stocks in different sectors.
Your asset allocation can have a larger impact on your returns over time than your selection of individual stocks.
