Selected because this site enjoys an exceptional location
on the edge of a beautiful sandy beach by the Mer
Blanche and the nearby Iles Glénan. A superb aqua
complex and direct access to the beach are its main
attractions. Holidaymakers of all nationalities to return
year after year. The site is run to an exceptionally high
standard and is renowned for its warm welcoming
atmosphere. The enthusiasm of the site owners is
infectious. The short walk to the centre of Benodet is a
great asset as is the superb aqua complex covering a
total area of 2,700m². The site has a wonderful flowery
entrance including many colourful hydrangeas and there
are no mobile homes. In spite of its size, it is not a noisy
site and does not have a commercial atmosphere.

Level, grassy divided by hedges in small paddocks, most with a
little shade. Easy access and reasonable size.

The magnificent aqua complex "Aquatropic" covers a total area
of 2,700m². It is attractively landscaped with palm trees and
plants and has 2 heated swimming pools - one covered - and
delightful paddling pools. There are water slides, whirlpools,
massage jets and waterfalls and a spacious sun terrace with
plenty of sun loungers. There is also a separate spa area with
sauna, hamman, jacuzzi and massage facilities – all with extra
charge.
Activities on Site
Direct access to a wonderful stretch of sandy beach. Plastic
shoes are advised as the sand is coarse and their are lots of
rockpools to explore. Two tennis courts, two squash courts.
Table tennis. volleyball, basketball, archery, well-equipped
gym, billiards, boules pitch. Children’s play area. Canoe hire.
Activities Nearby Cycle hire, windsurfing and boat hire.
Entertainment
Day time entertainment includes sports tournaments and craft
workshops. From 1st July until 31st August there is a children’s
club and the L’Amiral soundproof bar is a venue for shows and
concerts by local bands and folk groups, as well as for a
nightclub. There is "un pot d'accueil" on Wednesday and
Sunday evening mid July to third week in August. Reasonably
priced barbecue and "moules/frites" evenings are also
organised from time to time.
Sanitary Facilities
There are six comfortable, well maintained toilet blocks spread
throughout the site, each equipped with toilets, wash basins,
showers. 60 cent charge for token for hot showers. Disabled
facilities. Baby room. Two launderettes. Chemical waste point.
Services
Mini-market including fresh bread. Ice cream stand. Excellent
varied take-away. 2 bars one, l'Escale, at heart of site which
has a new terrace overlooking the aqua complex and the other,
l'Amiral for evening entertaiment at the entrance to the
campsite. Hair dressing facilities. Barbecues allowed. Dogs
accepted. Wi-Fi on all pitches at a reasonable price, although
best reception is in the bar area.

A few privately owned touring caravans for hire and Safari
tents. No mobilehomes nor chalets.

Directions
From Quimper. Take the D34 to Bénodet. The site is situated to
the south-east and is well-signposted through the town. From
the N165 expressway. Take the exit to Concarneau and then
turn right, following signs to Bénodet. As you approach the
town the site is well indicated.
