Department of Mental Health Kolding and Vejle
We are a department of almost 300
employees with room for 94 inpatients
and with ongoing treatment of approximately 3000 outpatients.
We educate both pre- and postgraduate
students who are studying to be doctors,
psychologists, nurses, socialworkers,
occupational- and physiotherapists, as well
as trainees within the field of short-term
healthcare educations. In addition we
manage specialist education of doctors,
psychologists and nurses.
The department has wards with open and
closed sections and a gerontosection.
Furthermore we have general psychiatry
and special outpatient clinics. These clinics
contain:
• Assertive Community Treatment
• A psychotherapeutic unit with treatment
for non-psychotic patients
• An intellectual disability team
• Geronto-psychiatry
• An acute team for patients with affective disorders
• A suicide prevention team.
We work in interdisciplinary teams with a
strong focus on cross-functional development. In this way, every member of the
team can offer their professional competencies to the teamwork.
