INTRODUCTION
Guide outfitters are the founders of the tourism industry and an
important part of the outdoor heritage of BC. All non-resident
big game hunters must use the services of a guide outfitter.
Approximately 5,000 hunters come to BC each year and spend
more, per day, per capita, than any other visitor to our province.
The Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia (GOABC)
was established in 1966 and currently represents more than 80%
of the guide outfitters in BC, Yukon, and Northwest Territories.
Currently, there are 245 licensed guide outfitters in the province
who directly employ over 2,000 people.
Branding Opportunities
www.goabc.org receives 3,000 unique visitors and 40,000
page views per month. It is one of the world’s largest hunting
websites.
Mountain Hunter™ Magazine is published three (3) times
per year and is renowned for its perspective. The readership
of our world-class magazine is 15,000 opt-in outdoor
enthusiasts from around the world.1

Mountain Hunter™ Record Book records the quality and
diversity of trophy animals harvested in the Canadian
northwest. The Record Book is printed annually and awards
are presented annually.
Each Spring we hold an annual convention fundraiser. The
event includes a live auction, social banquet, and awards. We
typically have 50-75 outfitters attend this event with 300-500
outdoor enthusiasts attending the dinner.
Corporate Partnerships and Convention Sponsorships are
available.
Clients of GOABC members receive a complimentary 1-year subscription to
the magazine.
