Faith Formation Classes have begun! On the first day, students
received a folder with the Faith Formation Calendar, Norms and
Regulations, a Registration envelope and other forms that are to
be returned and signed. Once again, this year, we encourage
students to sign-up for membership in our Parish Youth Choir
or to serve as a commissioned Altar Server at the Lord's Altar.
The Parish Youth Group is open to all students from the 5th
Grade through High School. Sister Mary Sardinha, S.S.D. will
be teaching our Adult Faith Formation classes on Saturday and
Sunday morning at the same hours as the Youth Faith Formation

Prayer for Persecuted Christians
Please join in us in praying this prayer for
Persecuted Christians around the world
Father in Heaven, you make your Sun
Shine on good and bad alike. Your Son Jesus Christ died for
us all and in His glorious Resurrection He still retains the
five wounds of His passion. With His divine power He
now sustains all those who suffer the persecution and
martyrdom for the sake of their fidelity to faith of the
Church. Merciful and mighty Father, do not allow Cain to
return again to murder helpless Abel, innocent Abel.
May persecuted Christians around the world remain, like Mary,
their Mother, together at the foot of the cross of Christ the
Martyr. Comfort those menaced by violence and those
oppressed by uncertainty. May your Holy Spirit of love make
fruitful the witness and the blood of those who die forgiving.
Amen.
The English Prayer Group meets on Monday afternoon 1:30pm
3:30pm to in the Parish Hall. For more information, please
contact Mrs. Mary Leite. All are welcome!
The Group meets in an informal worship
gathered session to praise and listen to
God. Praise is expressed in a number
of ways: through scripture, teaching,
songs, formal or spontaneous prayer,
and silence. God speaks to those Charismatic gifts and
personal sharing.
Prayer Line and Prayer Basket
We have begun a "Prayer Line" here at St. Anthony's Parish. You may
call our parish secretary, Regina Medina and explain to her, your prayer
need, she will then call the next person on the "Prayer Line" who will, in
turn, call the next person and so on. This is a way of guaranteeing that
your intentions are being remembered in prayer.
We have placed a basket in front of Our Lady's Altar, in the sanctuary of
the church. Please place your written petitions for yourselves, your loved
one, the community and our world, in the Prayer Basket. Your petitions
will be remembered.

The Irmandade do Divino Espirito Santo is sponsoring a Traditional

help defray the cost of preparations for the dinner. Tickets are $25.00
