We will have a lunch gathering on Saturday, July 30th in the Room with a View. We would like to have a simple sharing of possible themes that both committees will begin to explore for this year’s celebration. The Jubilee and Liturgy Committees look forward to begin planning this gift of the Province to you. God bless you all, as you begin a year of jubilee and thanksgiving for your “YES.” v ~ Sisters Anne Luis Lardizabal, CSJ, Province Liturgy Committee chair and Rosheen Glennon, CSJ, Jubilee Committee chair Win Hawaii Calls A Pleasant Holidays Vacation for two on the Island of Maui Second Prize $1,000 • Third Prize $500 Drawing will be held on October 4, 2016 Thank you for supporting the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Ministry Fund will be awarded Charitable Services Permit # V5235 Around CC Calls to Action Engagement Process We believe that mutuality can only happen when we acknowledge and deepen our understanding of our privilege, our racism and our participation in interlocking systems of oppression and exclusion. I commit to deepen my understanding of my privilege and participation in systemic racism by attending conversations on diversity scheduled after each Faculty Assembly at the Mount. Through these conversations I become aware of and acknowledge my participation in systemic racism, for example: white flight in the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, the saying “no” to/dissuading of persons of color requesting to enter and of my unintentional, but real, “microaggressive behaviors” (Call if interested in examples or the meaning of the term). I commit to continue deepening my awareness so as to not repeat elements of our shared history. v ~ Submitted by Sister Kieran Vaughan, CSJ Holy Family Sisters gather at the Friday Neighborhood to make lunches for the homeless.
