Hawkeye Insider - Erin Mykleby
Erin Mykleby, is a native of
Bettendorf, Iowa, and a recent
graduate of the University of
Iowa Sports Management Master's program (’14). She currently resides in New Tampa and
while she spends most of her
free time at the beach playing
sand volleyball, she still is transitioning into life outside of the
Midwest. Erin moved here to
pursue her dream of becoming
an Athletic Director and now
works as the Assistant Athletic
Director in Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Outreach at
Saint Leo University, a Division II
school located north of Tampa.
Erin moved to the area from
Cleveland, Ohio where she
worked for the National Association of Collegiate Directors of
Athletics (NACDA) and is extremely excited to be surrounded by Hawks fans again after
spending a year in prime Buckeye territory. She first heard
about TBIC while working in the
athletic department at the U of
Prior to her time with the Hawkeyes, Erin attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where
she was a captain on the Luther
College Swimming and Diving
Team as well as an Honorable
Mention All-American. She
earned a bachelor's degree in
Physical Education and a minor
in Communication Studies (’12).
Erin also had a tremendous experience teaching/coaching
overseas in Antwerp, Belgium.
I. During her time in Iowa City,
Erin was a graduate intern for
the UI athletic department in
event management, where she
helped manage all the home
athletic events & championships. Erin also served as a
teaching assistant for the Sports
Business program and a Learning Assistant for the Iowa football team, where she worked
one-on-one with studentathletes to help develop organizational skills and learning strategies.
Erin remembers growing up a
true Iowegian & a die-hard
Hawks fan. While she enjoys
watching all college sports, she
credits her older brother, Phillip, and her father, Brian, (both
UI alums) for her love towards
the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago
Cubs, & Minnesota Vikings. Erin
particularly enjoys watching
Iowa football & Iowa wrestling,
and credits Dan Gable as a huge
inspiration. Erin’s hobbies include bow hunting, trout fishing, and traveling.

Big Ten Kickoff
Once again TBIC dominated attendance records for the annual B1G Ten Kickoff!
It was a very warm evening but it was great to see all of the black and gold at Ferg's.
The live entertainment was fabulous and the dancers including our own Eddie Peters were wonderful!
The 50/50 was one of the highest in past years—Over $800!
A wonderful evening with all of our Big Ten allies
Thank you to everyone who attended this event and we look forward to seeing you at Boston's and Ferg’s!
