How did I go about making my dream a reality?
Firstly, I followed the Company’s teaching which was to visualize and make known
your dreams. Secondly, I adopted the Golden Rule. Thirdly, I participated in every
new consultant’s training programs ranging from NCO, ESRS to RJU. On a weekly
basis, I will conduct a beauty workshop for my unit members and even myself in
order to achieve Star Consultant status every quarter. Lastly, learning to have the
right attitude has helped me successfully balance between achieving my goals
and managing my team. Through this, I have learnt that what really matters is the
process, not the results.
In the nine months of continued efforts, my Unit’s production charted new breaking
records. During the same period, I had debuted 2 new Sales Directors whom had
also achieved Go China Seminar challenge.
I am very grateful to the Company for having provided various sales programs
and challenge during the same period. It really has helped my Unit to achieve
tremendous growth. “Thank You” to all sister Sales Directors especially Keng
Eng, Grace, Kate and Peggy for their support and Go Give spirit. Not forgetting my
recruiter, Mary for her encouragement, my family for their support and especially
my husband, Philip, whom have been walking with me in following Mary Kay culture
and its philosophy.
Thank God for allowing me to live my life to the fullest by helping more women to
realize their dreams.
A special mention and recognition dedicated to a group of fantastic Beauty
Consultants from the Sunshine Unit. Your perseverance, hard work and support
have enriched my life. “You’re so awesome! I’m so proud of you!”

Go China
seminar
The annual Go China Seminar was held in the month of October
in Hangzhou, China. There were more then 10,000 China beauty
consultants attended this phenomenal, high spirited “Be a Star
Venue: Palace Beach & Spa
The second Malaysia Red Jacket Rally (MRJR) was a resounding success
with 102 achievers! Nine Sales Director with 4 or more achievers received the
much coveted MK Shoulder Bag, while 23 Beauty Consultants enjoyed the
Special Luncheon.
Mary Kay Malaysia General Manager, Mike Strong had the achievers fired
up with the announcement of the Asia DIQ Rally Challenge 2008, to which
Senior National Sales Director Lin Yufeng responded by gamely reminding
those present to say “Hangzhou Jian!” (“See you in Hangzhou!”). Needless to
say, that became the catch phrase of the event!
Seminar”, the annual event was packed with Motivation, Recognition
and Inspiration! Among them in cheering, applauding and learning in
the midst of all that excitements were a group of our Malaysia Sales
Directors, they too, had achieved the Go China Seminar challenge. They
were recognized and went all the way to China to join this special event
of the year. They were also treated to the Asia Pacific Special Luncheon
with the top management from AP region and Dallas. Besides, they also
enjoyed the scenic view and a boat ride on West Lake and a splendid
shopping trip to He Fang street, a famous shopping area in Hangzhou.

Susan Freeman showed us how to make a Quantum Leap into Success
with Elite Executive National Sales Director Gloria Mayfield-Banks’ proven
7-day focus, a consistent formula that highlights 10 important things that you
must do now.
It wasn’t just the educational sessions that rocked the MRJR. A lively
Hawaiian-themed BBQ dinner by the poolside brought out the fun side of the
achievers. Even the Kahuna was having fun! Who said you can’t have fun and
success at the same time?
NSD in-Making
So let’s keep the spirit burning. “Hangzhou Jian!”
The recent regional event NSD in the Making was held successfully in
Prince Hotel Kuala Lumpur from 6th – 9th November. It was a powerpacked 4D/3N educational and inspirational experience for a group of top
Sales Directors from the region. The tops NSDs were on hand to share their
experiences and provide insights into preparing the Executive Senior Sales
Directors for the National Sales Directorships.
