President’s Message
I understand our speaker in February, Linda Reed was
insightful and clearly a woman of action. Thanks to
all participants who had displays in the financial
fair. Hopefully you left with some new contacts
and approaches to your financial situations. Guest
registrations are up over last year and this night
was no exception. Kathryn Fanning, your incoming
President did a wonderful job and I was sad to miss
such a wonderful meeting.

I am happy to report that membership is up to 142.
Now, is the time to capitalize on our membership
benefits. You have many benefits already paid for
that you can use to promote your business. Twoonie
Talk gives you a chance to let people make a
connection between your face and your business.
Table drops are a sure way to get your message in
front of people. Newsletter inserts are also a great
way to expose your business still only $35.00. Make
sure your fellow members know who you are! If you
need help understanding these programs please
contact me and I will be happy to clarify.
The board will be having a special meeting in
February to review the results of the survey that
almost half the membership completed online.
We will present highlights to you at an upcoming
meeting and use the data to shape changes for the
upcoming year. As I have mentioned the board’s
primary role is to create programs and offerings that
you have asked for.
Our March 4th meeting will feature Patricia
Brusha. She will speak to Sales, Marketing, Internet
Distribution and Revenue Management. I am sure
there will be some helpful insights on maximizing
your business success.

Karma’s is a wonderful restaurant that has yet to be discovered by many
people in Peterborough. It has a lovely ambiance, delicious food and
reasonable prices. Karma went all out to make the WBN members feel
welcome. We had a large table prepared for us and were given samples
of one delicious appetizer after another. From spring rolls to fresh
garden rolls, Karma’s knows how to please the palate!
The WBN social and offsite events are a great way to get to know fellow

The good news is today ore people are surviving heart attacks, strokes
