Dear Fellow Shorthorn Breeders,
On behalf of the ASA Board, we would like to welcome you to the
Heritage on Ice Shorthorn Semen Auction fundraiser. The semen lots being auctioned off
are donations from fellow breeders to generate fund to help support the Alberta Shorthorn
and Junior Shorthorn programs.
The fundraiser will be held in conjunction with the ASA AGM, June 21 at the
GreenWay Inn, Lacombe, Alberta. The auction will take place during the evening banquet
and will begin at 5:00pm. For those of you whom are out of province or country that wish
to bid on the semen lots please feel free to contact any member of the sales staff—we
will be happy to assist you with bidding.
Please bid with confidence on the genetics offered. On offer are some unique opportunities to acquire genetics that have contributed to the breed over the past number of
years. Your bidding is greatly appreciated as we move forward in promoting the growth
and development of our great shorthorn breed!

Terms: Cash or Cheque payable to the Alberta Shorthorn Association. All purchases
must be paid for prior to semen being released.
Shipping: All shipping costs incurred are the responsibility of the buyer. The sale staff
will make every effort to assist in making shipping arrangements, as well as assisting with
sending your purchases across the border.
Catalog: All statements made from the auction block take precedence over material
printed in the catalog. Sale order will be determined the day of the sale.
Absentee Bids: If you cannot attend the sale and are interested in bidding please contact one of the sale chairs prior to the start of the sale to make arrangements to bid over
the phone or to make an absentee bid in advance.

bull from Australia, Mandalong Super Flag
was the was the first foreign bull to ever win
the Grand Champion Shorthorn and Polled
Shorthorn Bull award at the National
Western Stock Show in Denver.
With nearly 1400 progeny registered in the
ASA database, Super Flag was a bull that
was utilized to improve carcass traits in
