Single Sign-On (SSO) project is one of PEMANDU’s efforts under
the
Strategic Reform Initiatives - Public Service Delivery (SRI-PSD) to
increase the nation’s competitive advantage and enhance public
service delivery.
Key Objectives:
 A single point of authentication to facilitate users’ access to
government online services through myGovernment Portal
as the gateway
 Users need to remember only 1 LOGIN (User ID and
Password) to access to 30 agencies’ selected online
applications

• Readiness of online services with user
authentication
• High impact services
• Services for citizen (G2C)

What It Is Not
What It Is
 Single Sign On (SSO) is a user
authentication process that permits a
user to enter myGovernment login and
password in order to access multiple
online services provided by Agency
with Single Sign On Services.
 There is no User Profile/
Password Synchronization
between MyGovernment
Portal and agency’s online
systems.
 The process authenticates the user for
Agency with SSO Services remains at
the respective Agency portal.
 There
is
no
User
Profile/Password
Synchronization between
different agency’s online
systems.
 After first time login experience, SSO
will eliminate further prompts when
they switch from one Agency with
SSO Services to another via
myGovernment Portal.

The emphasis of the Change Management for the Project
is on
communicating and ensuring the 30 Pioneer Agencies’ (Agencies)
readiness on the change due to the SSO implementation. Thus, the
purposes of the Change Management are to:

 Ensure buy-in from the Agencies leadership to the Project
Bridge /
Link
 Provide a bridge between the sponsors who have
initiated the project, the project team who are
implementing the project and the agencies.

One of the key activities is the Change Ambassador Network,
whereby
support and commitment from Agencies are necessary.

OBJECTIVE
• To play an ambassadorial role for the project at each agency
• To disseminate project updates and information at the agency

The Project Team needs the support from the agencies to make the
SSO
Project a success
1. To be actively involved in change management activity and process
implemented.
2. Support the SSO awareness campaign within the agencies by:
I. Assisting with the distribution of awareness materials
II. Nominating of Change Ambassadors
3. Agencies to continue promoting their online services that are part of the SSO
Project.
4. Readiness of the agency systems (online services) to support SSO technical
requirements.
5. Availability of development environment at agencies
for the respective online services (to support testing).
6. Assist in providing the baseline figure and capturing
the benefits to be realised.
7. Ensuring high avaibility for users to access their
services at anytime.
