An Amazing Vermont Wedding Resources and Inspiration for the Perfect Wedding The couple was popular, kind, sweet and beautiful. And their wedding was a success. March 7, 2013 The Spirit of Ethan Allen received an online request form from Dan Titus and his fiancé, Kathrynn regarding the wedding cruises and rates. With a guest list of about 250 guests, the couple remained within their budget and shared the beauty of Vermont’s Lake Champlain with their family and friends. Dreams Can Come True… Even Under Budget. Several weeks later, March 20, 2013, Dan and Kathrynn were able to tour The Spirit of Ethan Allen. Each had been on board before for other events, and having their wedding on board was a way that the couple could showcase the beauty of Vermont. They are both very proud of where they live. Both enjoy modern touches with simple flair. On a cruise wedding this is easy to accomplish. Both appreciated the ease of planning that would be required to have their wedding on board. Their dream wedding could be local, it could be on the waterfront, and they would have the ability to invite all of their guests to be part of the ceremony and reception. Not only would the planning be easy because they had their own wedding coordinator included with their venue selection, but they did all of this within their budget, allowing them to splurge on details. On April 17, 2013 Dan had already started the planning process. He and Kathrynn would be celebrating their wedding on board with 200 guests. They would exchange their vows on August 24, 2013. This gave the couple a little over four months to plan for a 200 person wedding, with the assistance of the wedding coordinator and Spirited Events team of the boat. Dan explained to the wedding coordinator that he would be doing much It was time to brainstorm for the wedding, and he needed a road map… Kathrynn was busy with obligations, wedding details and family leading up to their big day. Dan was hands on and needed all resources possible. This is when the coordinator called him in for an individual consult. It was time to brainstorm the major components to their wedding and give Dan some sound advice about his big day. He was handling logistics and Kathrynn was more detail orientated with the design of her wedding. Dan received a handbook filled with resources and also called the Spirit of Ethan Allen office to ask questions about having specific items on the boat, questioning what would work for the venue, what looked beautiful, who he should speak with about 2 Enjoy Vermont’s local food, service and scenery. The bountiful appetizer displays, dinner service, local candies and treats left the guests amazed. Everything was timely and perfect. the cake, flowers and music. He was a busy man. He needed a road map. While discussing what Kathrynn’s expectations were, the coordinator handed him a list of local vendors that they may want to consider. The event started to come to life after Dan and the coordinator discussed what was needed, what was realistic, how the flow of the day would transgress into the party in the evening. Columns, conversations and diagrams were shared between the two over the course of the next few meetings. What is needed for your wedding, versus, what is wanted for your wedding. As the day of their wedding arrived, the couple had one less thing to worry about, as the staff set everything up for them, from their chair covers to the classic décor that Kathrynn had created by hand. Every table had a flowing feather centerpiece that she purchased from craft stores. The couple opted to not use real flowers, even in her bouquet. She created this out of old vintage pins and brooches. It was an elegant touch, and defined a DIY bride. enjoyed bountiful appetizer displays with local Vermont cheeses, breads, jams and fruits. Their plated service was timely and perfect. Toasts and cheers were given to the newlyweds right before the couple snuck out for the perfect sunset overlooking Lake Champlain. All details were perfect. To welcome guests coming in from out of state, each guest was greeted with mojitos and local maple candies.
