An Amazing Vermont Wedding
An Amazing Vermont Wedding
Resources and Inspiration for the Perfect Wedding
The couple was popular, kind, sweet and
beautiful. And their wedding was a success.
March 7, 2013
The Spirit of Ethan Allen
received an online
request form from Dan
Titus and his fiancé,
Kathrynn regarding the
wedding cruises and
rates. With a guest list of
about 250 guests, the
couple remained within
their budget and shared
the beauty of Vermont’s
Lake Champlain with
their family and friends.
Dreams Can Come True… Even Under
Budget.
Several weeks later, March 20, 2013, Dan and
Kathrynn were able to tour The Spirit of Ethan Allen.
Each had been on board before for other events, and
having their wedding on board was a way that the
couple could showcase the beauty of Vermont. They
are both very proud of where they live. Both enjoy
modern touches with simple flair. On a cruise wedding
this is easy to accomplish. Both appreciated the ease
of planning that would be required to have their
wedding on board.
With modern touches and simple flair

The Spirit of Ethan Allen
“We fulfill the final vision, for any event.”
The couple walked off of
the boat with excitement
in their faces. Their dream
wedding could be local,
it could be on the
waterfront, and they
would have the ability to
invite all of their guests to
be part of the ceremony
and reception. Not only
would the planning be
easy because they had
their own wedding
coordinator included with
their venue selection, but
they did all of this within
their budget, allowing
them to splurge on
details.
On April 17, 2013 Dan had
already started the
planning process. He and
Kathrynn would be
celebrating their wedding
on board with 200 guests.
They would exchange
their vows on August 24,
2013. This gave the
couple a little over four
months to plan for a 200
person wedding, with the
assistance of the wedding
coordinator and Spirited
Events team of the boat.
Dan explained to the
wedding coordinator that
he would be doing much
It was time to brainstorm for the wedding, and he
needed a road map…
Kathrynn was busy with
obligations, wedding
details and family leading
up to their big day. Dan
was hands on and
needed all resources
possible. This is when the
coordinator called him in
for an individual consult. It
was time to brainstorm
the major components to
their wedding and give
Dan some sound advice
about his big day. He was
handling logistics and
Kathrynn was more detail
orientated with the
design of her wedding.
Dan received a
handbook filled with
resources and also called
the Spirit of Ethan Allen
office to ask questions
about having specific
items on the boat,
questioning what would
work for the venue, what
looked beautiful, who he
should speak with about

the cake, flowers and
music. He was a busy
man. He needed a road
map. While discussing
what Kathrynn’s
expectations were, the
coordinator handed him
a list of local vendors that
they may want to
consider. The event
started to come to life
after Dan and the
coordinator discussed
what was needed, what
was realistic, how the flow
of the day would
transgress into the party in
the evening. Columns,
conversations and
diagrams were shared
between the two over the
course of the next few
meetings. What is needed
for your wedding, versus,
what is wanted for your
wedding. This is important
for every couple getting
married in Vermont. It
assists in the wedding
planning process.
As the day of their
wedding arrived, the
couple had one less thing
to worry about, as the
staff set everything up for
them, from their chair
covers to the classic
décor that Kathrynn had
created by hand. Every
table had a flowing
feather centerpiece that
she purchased from craft
stores. The couple opted
to not use real flowers,
even in her bouquet. She
created this out of old
vintage pins and
brooches. It was an
elegant touch, and

enjoyed bountiful
appetizer displays with
local Vermont cheeses,
breads, jams and fruits.
Their plated service was
timely and perfect. Toasts
and cheers were given to
the newlyweds right
before the couple snuck
out for the perfect sunset
overlooking Lake
Champlain.
All details were perfect.
To welcome guests
coming in from out of
state, each guest was
greeted with mojitos and
local maple candies. And
were followed by a lovely,
perfectly spoken
ceremony, the guests
