n Connecticut, a couple'swish for a contemporary home on
the water generated a year of remodeling, challengesby the
truckload and, at the end of the project, well-earned satisfaction for everyone involved.
An existing residenceon Long Island Sound partially answered
the homeowners' requirements. Built of reinforced concrete and
glass,and sharing more with a parking structure than a house, it
was definitely contemporary. But
the interior flow wasn't good and
the view over the water was not
taken advantageof as well as it
should have been.
