Nothing less than the best.
No trip to Robertson is complete without a visit to
the impressive Graham Beck Cellar. Graham Beck
Wines is well known for its innovative architecture
and spectacular scenery. In Robertson the natural
surroundings of the Klein Karoo with its rich dark
soils, lichen-covered rocks, vibrant aloes and dusky
fynbos is echoed perfectly in the warm, colourful
hues of this unmistakable cellar and tasting room.
Although quite a departure from the norm, this
rather avant-garde structure with its sloping
green roof, apricot walls and aubergine steelwork
has now become a well-loved local landmark.
The tasting facilities are unlike any experienced
before. Sit down in a luxurious leather couch,
surrounded by artwork from the private Graham
Beck collection, enjoy the most incredible view
over the sweeping vistas of the surrounding estate
landscapes and sip Cap Classique and still wines
from the award-winning Graham Beck portfolio.
Our friendly tasting room assistants will welcome
you warmly in your journey of discovery as you
explore and savour. Be prepared for a scintillating
sensory experience.

A taste of history and a glimpse into the future of
South African wine – this epitomises the first registered
wine estate in the Robertson Wine Valley and one of
the few third generation estates in South Africa.
Both the cellar as well as the elegant tasting room
and office buildings were designed by Louis Michel
Thibault, one of the most renowned architects of the
early Cape. But it is the wine that keeps one returning
time after time! De Wetshof is known internationally
as the eminent Chardonnay House due to the
pioneering role it played in introducing the noble
Burgundian grape to the country and today for
its award-winning consistency and innovation.

future direction of this 43 member-owned winery. Four

Twenty three members of Wandsbeck Wines
produce grapes for this grower-owned winery in the
Agterkliphoogte Valley. Wines have been produced
here since 1965 but the original farm, Wandsbeck,
dates back to the 1800s.
The members and winemakers, Jacques du Toit and
Hugo Conradie, are confident about the area’s potential
and new vineyards are already producing up to
fourteen different cultivars. Visitors are welcome to
taste our selection of wines.

It truly is a “bonny vale” of orchards and
vineyards, stretching almost as far as the eye can
see and straddling the Breede River.
A visit to the region should include a stay over
alongside the river and plenty of time to visit
cellars and small restaurants where the local
hospitality is legendary.
A wine tour of the area will include the spectrum
of cellars, from hand-crafted boutique wines, to
traditional family cellars and the vast offerings
of a co-operative winery. One thing is certain,
there are many exciting, value-for-money wines
to be found here.

Chardonnay is the calling card of Robertson, and
Weltevrede is one of its most committed exponents,
whether in the still or sparkling application. The
soils of the Jonker family estate are the soul and
the foundation of the wines produced, with each
wine made to express the terroir of its origin.
Displays of different soils graphically illustrate this
point and add the senses of sight and texture to
the smell and taste of the wine in the tasting room.
There is an appreciation for the arts and literature
at Weltevrede. The names of the wines invite curiosity
and reveal layers of passionate artistry behind the
wine.

Wine.
Zandvliet Wine Estate, home to South Africa’s
famous Shiraz portfolio since 1975; including the
Zandvliet Estate Shiraz, Kalkveld Shiraz and Hill of
Enon Small Berry Pick Shiraz.
The wines from Zandvliet get their distinctive
character from the limestone outcrops dotted
throughout the vineyards, producing single Estate
Chardonnay and Shiraz. If you want to sample
single vineyard wines, then the Kalkveld and Hill of
Enon wines simply must be tried for their classical
elegance.

The house of Shiraz.
We believe all great wines come from terroir and
passion; and in that,
Zandvliet has found the
perfect partner in Jacques Cilliers, who expertly
guards the Estate’s traditional wine styles, whilst
reaching a little deeper into the vineyards for that
added complexity. True to time honoured practices,
all Zandvliet premium wines are cellar matured,
offering you the choice to enjoy now and save for
a later date.
Private tastings are available by appointment only
and can include barrel and older vintage tastings.
