AN EVENING OF ROYAL TOKAJI
GRASING’S WINE CLUB PRESENTS AN EVENING OF ROYAL TOKAJI September 11, 2015 Grasing’s Restaurant of Carmel is delighted to announce a special dinner presented by Ben Howkins, Co-Founder of Royal Tokaji Wine Company, on Friday, September 11th. The dinner will feature the rare and exquisite wines of Royal Tokaji, matched to Chef Kurt Grasing’s specially selected menu. At the reception prior to dinner, enjoy the world-renowned wine of Champagne Gosset, founded in 1584, the oldest wine house in the Champagne region. All single-vineyard wines from Royal Tokaji are classified as 1st Growth and rated 6 puttonyos, from the heart of Hungary and aged in Hungarian barrels. Royal Tokaji has garnered international recognition for the delicate yet relatively low-alcohol wines. Tokaji wines from Tokaj have been made since the 1600’s, though some references indicate making of sweet wine in the area prior to the mid 1500’s. They have been the favorite sweet wine of royalty and the cognoscenti for five centuries. Tokaji has been known as the “King of Wines and Wine of Kings.” Kurt’s menu will include marinated sea bass, roasted scallops with corn, foie gras, duck and apple as well as a few surprises paired with an amazing selection of Royal Tokaji wines. Don’t miss this special evening featuring this legendary wine house. Please call 831-624-6562 for further details and reservations. The reception starts at 6:00 pm, Friday, September 11, and dinner begins at 6:30 pm. The price for this extraordinary opportunity is $175 per person to include all wines, taxes and gratuity. There will be opportunities to purchase bottles of both Royal Tokaji and Champagne Gosset. (Grasing’s Wine Club members receive special pricing on these wines.) Grasing’s is located at 6th and Mission in downtown Carmel. Imported by Wilson Daniels | St. Helena, California | www.wilsondaniels.com
