helped with the snow removal and
maintenance of the ice rink this year. In
addition, the cooperation and assistance of
the Village staff was invaluable. We would
especially like to acknowledge and thank
Sam Piuze who took the ‘lead’ in ensuring
that we all had great ice to skate on and to
enjoy the winter activities scheduled around

BOOK OF THE MONTH
A Pinch of Time by Claude Tatilon. A
gentle story of a young boy living in
France during the second world war.
When his father is taken away by the
Nazis, Dominique is sent outside his
hometown to live with his mother and
brother. Although always
hungry, the
family enjoys their time away and accepts
the presence of another man in their lives.
When the father returns after two years
Dominique is sent to live with him and has
to reacquaint himself with this stranger
who is gaunt and filled with memories of
life in concentration camps.
See you at the Library!
