POLICE DEPARTMENT Safeguarding Our Future
Stockton Unified School District POLICE DEPARTMENT Safeguarding Our Future HOT TIP Never leave valuables in your car, such as purses and electronics. On average breaking into a vehicle takes only a few seconds. When leaving your vehicle, be aware of your surroundings, look around. Report any suspicious persons or activity to SUSD PD DISPATCH at (209) 933-7085 and press 2. He who opens a school door, closes a prison. Victor Hugo Help us help you... when calling in an incident be prepared to provide as much information as possible. We often receive calls from people saying little more than they need the police now and they are unsure as to why , just that they were told by someone else to call. While we understand there is a need, we need more information in order for us to be prepared to help you in the best way we can. Simply telling us you need the police does not provide adequate information for us to respond. When calling, be descriptive about the incident or person(s) involved. You’ll be guaranteed a faster and more reliable response when providing the best information possible. Contact SUSD PD Dispatch at (209) 933-7085 when having special events at night and on the weekends. Letting us know ahead of time will give us an opportunity to have an officer come by to check in and keep an eye on things. Officer Curtis Jue and “Yoda”, a Jack Russell terrier make up our K9 team. Yoda is a trained and certified detection K9, used for sniffing out contraband such as drugs, firearms, and fireworks. Officer Jue and Yoda are also available for classroom presentations for our younger students. Please contact the SUSD PD Dispatch to schedule a K9 demonstration or to conduct classroom searches. Officer Curtis Jue with SUSD’s K9—Yoda Records - Dispatcher Sandra “Sandy” Knudson The face behind the phone is Sandra Knudson. “Sandy” is a Dispatcher with SUSD Police Department since March 2012. Born and raised in Minnesota, she learned early on that the harsh winters were not to her liking so she moved to sunny California. Sandy has a beautiful daughter named Kimberly who is working toward achieving a Master’s degree in Business at CSUM. Most of Sandy’s earlier working years were as a proprietor in the beauty industry preforming nail enhancements and pedicures. When the opportunity presented itself, Sandy purchased a little bait shop and set out to change it’s local image. “Hook, Wine and Sinker” emerged from a sketch on an airplane napkin to reality in just a few short months. When 12 hour days, 7 days a week became a daunting job, the bait shop was sold and Sandy decided to create a new chapter in her life. Sandy currently lives in Sacramento with “Atlas”, her beloved Bouvier des Flandres, and is shopping for a home in Stockton. Sandy now enjoys the challenge of dispatching for SUSD PD! ! n o i t n Atte A Luncheon With Police Chief Bryon Gustafson Look for information in the near future for the Chief’s Luncheon.
