Pi Day Saturday, March 14,
will be International Pi Day.
The numeric representation
of the date, 3.14.15 reflects
the number sequence of the
mathematical term “Pi.”
With the addition of the
year 2015, it is a particularly
momentous Pi Day, because
it carries Pi out an extra
two decimal points. VIVA

Sheralyn Humble has been
VERY busy this month, I’m
trying not to have her picture
on EVERY page! Ha! Just kidding, Sheralyn...keep up the
good work!
So many quilters have joined
the guild this month as new
members I lost count about 10.
Judy Williams carries membership forms with her now
(not really) but she has been
directly responsible for getting
Jane Hancock’s on the paperwork.. Thanks, Judy!! The

Although you can find
most of these patterns somewhere on the internet, they
are some of my favorites
(thread-catcher pincushion,
scissors case) collected in one
place. My favorites are the
Ultimate Equipment Tote (for
acrylic rulers, cutting mat,
quilt blocks) and the Big and
Little Patchwork totes that
look cute, sturdy and very
useful.
Check it out, might be fun
to share some of the projects
at the next retreat!

Ladies,
February has already slipped by and our
March meeting is around the corner. We
will soon be saying good bye to our winter
Texans and the heat will return.
We had some wonderful times in February, with the very successful Shop Hop
Bus, thank you Mimi and Judy, and the
sew in for Quilts 4 Kids, thank you Lois,
with over 50 attending. Many children will
be helped because of your efforts. The
board and community thanks you!
I look forward to the paint chip
challenge for starters in March. See you
at the meeting, and keep on sewing!

March Block due for April is

This month the newsletter has received
many, many photographs from members and
most from Mary Ann Hedge. We can
only use black and white on the printed
newsletter, however, I’m going to try to
send the e-mail newsletter with color pictures. I’m also going to try and send an attachment that will have additional color pictures of some of our activities (show and
tell, business meetings, bus trip Shop Hop,
etc.) Let me know if this is something you
like and I will work on it a little harder.
We have also been blessed this month
with so many ladies that have stepped up
and picked up in places we were sagging (I
know all about those sagging places), you
know, filling in for others when they were
unable, and filling in for places we didn’t
know we had holes. Membership, Quilts 4
Kids, worker bees, bus trips and helpers for

Gotta love those grandkids
… was eating breakfast with
my 10-year-old granddaughter
and I asked her, “What day
is tomorrow?" Without
skipping a beat she said, "It's
Presidents Day!"
She's smart, so I asked her
"What does Presidents Day
mean?" I was waiting for
something about Obama, Bush,
or Clinton, etc. She replied,
"Presidents Day is when
the President steps out of
the White House, and if he
sees his shadow, we have another year of Bullshit."
You know, it hurts when hot
