After all, if someone desires to be a Godparent and/or sponsor for one of our children, it should be an individual who practices their faith since they are to be an example for the child. It is precisely for this reason we request individuals to utilize their envelopes whether or not they choose or able to donate since we can verify regular participation should they not be familiar to us. If one of the Godparents is a baptized Christian, they will be noted in the record as a Christian Witness. A Christian Witness cannot be a Godparent, if they were baptized in the Catholic Church. THE SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE The Common Policy for the Diocese of New Jersey requires a period of preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage, which includes sessions with the parish priest or deacon and participation in either the Pre-Cana Conference or the Engaged Encounter Weekend. BOX TOPS FUNDRAISER This is a school fundraiser program started by General Mills in 1996. The Box Tops for Education Program offers school supporters three easy ways to earn cash for schools through everyday activities such as buying groceries, shopping online and purchasing books. In addition, Campbell’s and Tyson Foods also offer similar fundraising activities in which our school can benefit.
