I am very proud of the CITs and JCs for stepping up and taking on leadership roles this week! The CITs were divided amongst the 6 countries and helped make Otterlympics enjoyable for everyone on their countries! CITs engaged the campers by leading cheers and chants and participating along side of the kids! This week in our CIT meeting, CITs had a great discussion about Otterlympics and what it really means to be “FTK” (For The Kids). The JC’s spilt up into two groups this week and ran the all camps at upper and lower camp! A special shout out to JC’s Mackenzie Cochrane and Meghan Dunbar for leading the two JC groups! Otterlympics was a great learning experience for the JC’s, they learned how much time and effort is put into planning all camps! They learned how to be flexible and to think on their toes so that if an activity isn’t going as planned, they are able to make changes to ensure that the events are successful! In the afternoon, the JC’s assisted in running events at the program areas and awarding points to the countries! Here are some pictures of the CITs and JCs during Otterlympics! “Be the kind of leader that you would follow.” - Becca 5 New This Week Week 6: H2Otter Week!
