The Stampede usd105 December 20, 2010 STUDENTS HELP FILL THE SHELVES OF THE FOOD PANTRY This past week, Rawlins County Jr/Sr High School held a food drive contest to replenish the food bank. It is sponsored by the Student Council and there was a competition between the classes as to who could bring the most items. Each item was worth a certain amount of points and the first class to 100 points received a free activity period. The first class to 500 points won Jayhawk Movie Tickets. The Freshman class won the movie tickets and the Sophomore class won a free activity period. This year, they went to Denver to see the musical, “The Christmas Carol”. It was performed at the Mile High Theater in downtown Denver. The students enjoyed seeing their favorite Christmas story come to life on stage. Afterwards, they dined at the Italian restaurant Carrabba’s.
