Satay Party 2003
Hari Raya
In june 2003, NMA invited us to a Satay party at Faredah`s house. As usual it
became a successfull event where we could meet, talk - and of course EAT!!
«Kongsi Raya celebration»
The 22-23 January was Chinese New Year (Year of the Monkey)
and 02-03 February was Hari Raya Haji for muslims.

On short notice Rizayah Larsen, Wan Tai Haug and Faridah Myhre
managed to contact some members of NMAand they were invited
to a combined celebration on Saturday 22 February 2004. The
open house was at Faredah’s residence - Vendla 69, 1397 Nesøya.
Yee Sang
We all had a lovely day filled with laughter, joget dancing and a
fantastic choice of Asian cuisine. Everybody was requested to
bring a dish each. We started off with the exquisite dish of “Yow
Sang” delicately prepared by Wan Tai followed by wishes of
prosperity while we tucked in.
Keropok
Then we proceeded with the other dishes like Chinese “beefsteak”, chicken wings barbecued in “Hoi Sin” sauce, chicken
rendang, cucumber/pineapple pickles, mixed vegetables with
prawns and cashew nuts, fried kueh teow, meehoon Siam and
keropok in different shapes and taste. For dessert we had
bengkang, crème bouille, carrot cake, chocolate cake….. I may
have forgotten a couple of dishes but that’s because I too busy
enjoying myself. Terima kasih to the host and hostess and a
belated greeting of “Gong Xi Fa Cai” and “Selamat Hari Raya
Haji” to all members and friends in Norway.

Yummi, yummi in my tummy satay is good!
Ladies in a good mood. Hafidah, Roslin, Shamsiah, Nicole
and Faredah enjoyed both the food and a good
conversation.
Hari Raya aidil fitri at the Larsen`s. As always the food
was superb. Hari Raya «Kongsi Raya Celebration took
place at Leif and Ridzayah Larsen.
We all had a good time. The rain stayed away while we sat outside and enjoyed all the
delicious food . But when the rain started we found shelter inside - and there we found
several cakes! After so much eating and drinking it felt good with some exercise - and
as always someone showed they have got the rythm!
