for our patrons to experience. One that is filled with symbolic décors, infectious tunes, soulful

RAYA WOOD SWING
Swing into the Raya mood on an easy-to-make pallet wood swing.
Hop on & feel the Raya swing.

Take the two end boards off the
pallet & cut the pallet into half.

Add some boards from the
leftover wood to the end of the
pallet for drink holders
STEP
Lightly sand the top & sides to get
rid of anything that would cause
splinters. Give it a coat of wood
finish paint.
Attach the swing to the porch using a strong nylon rope.
Screw / Hook type: 8” long eye bolts.
Rope length: 24 feet.
Rope knot: Rope is double coming down from the eye-bolt in the ceiling.
Tie a knot above the pallet. Each strand hanging below the rope is sent in
different directions: one to the front & one to the back. Strands are
wrapped around the pallet & joined back underneath the pallet & tied in
a double knot.

SALTED CARAMEL
MACADAMIA CHEESECAKE
Bake a sweet treat for your Raya taste buds.
Pastry
1 Egg yolk
350g All-purpose flour
150g Caster sugar
225g Butter
Pinch of salt
Method for Pastry:
1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C.
Line the bottom of pastry tart tin with baking paper
2. Whisk sugar & butter in a mixer.
3. Add eggs, flour & salt. Bring it onto a lightly floured surface, roll it into a ball.
Wrap & chill until firm.
4. After 30 min, roll out the dough to about 3mm thick.
Apply on top of the tart tin carefully & trim off the excess.
5. Bind bake tart with baking beans/chickpeas until light golden brown for 20 min.
Cheesecake mix
500g Philadelphia cream cheese
150g Caster sugar
100g Sour cream
1 tsp. Vanilla essence
2 tsp. Lemon juice
3 Eggs
Method for Cheesecake mix:
1. In a mixer, whisk cream cheese, sour cream & caster sugar until well combined.
2. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla essence & lemon juice.
3. Pour the cake mixture into the baked tart, & place into the heated oven
at 160 degrees for 50 minutes.
4. Leave it to cool before putting the salted caramel topping.
Salted Caramel Sauce
150g Caster sugar
150g Brown sugar
100g Butter
120g Cream
1/2 tsp. Salt
50ml Water
120g Macadamia
(roasted & chopped)
Method for Salted Caramel Sauce:
1. Boil 50ml of water, caster sugar & salt to make the caramel.
2. Add cream, brown sugar, butter & cook until it melts.
3. Allow it to cool & thicken before spreading it on top of the cooled cake.
4. Pour 3/4 of sauce on the cake. Add the macadamias & pour
the rest of the sauce evenly to coat macadamias.
