It is a requirement by MOE, Malaysia. It is compulsory for international students to maintain at least minimum 80% of attendance in all classes throughout their course of study. Non compliance may result in: • Student's absence being reported to the Ministry of Education and Immigration Department of Malaysia. • Cancellation of student pass and visa. • Student have to return to home country. According to the Geneva Convention treaty (1949), this facility has been agreed by the countries that signed it. In order to apply for International Driving Permit (IDP), You need: i) Valid driving license for Class B2 or D. ii) Photocopy of the above license (Both sides). iii) Original and photocopy of identity card (Both sides). iv) 2 passport size photographs. v) Complete Form JPJ L1. vi) Payment of RM150 per year. Attend to any Malaysian Road Transport Department Office (JPJ) offices around the country to submit your IDP application. You can also go to the AAM office (Automobile Association of Malaysia) to submit your IDP application. You need to surrender your domestic license to JPJ as you are not allowed to hold 2 types of licenses at a time. If you no longer require the IDP, you may go to the JPJ offices to get back your domestic license. It should be noted that renewal fee for IDP is RM150 per annum, compared with domestic license which is only RM30 per annum. The IDP can be renewed with the following procedures: 1) The license may be renewed in Malaysia only. 2) Provide 2 passport size photographs. 3) Present your IDP for renewal. 4) Complete Form JPJ L1. 5) RM150 per annum for the renewal fee. To open an account, students are required to use their passports plus a letter from the University and an initial deposit which may be in either cash or bank draft. Important documents/information for opening bank account: • Copy of Offer Letter from the university • Copy of Confirmation Letter from the university • A photocopy of student ID • A photocopy of passport (Front page and Visa) for international students • Original passport (for verification purpose) • Minimum cash required to open a bank account is RM250.00 MEDICAL CHECK-UP All international students must undergo 2nd medical check-up in Malaysia if medical check-up we made in respective country.
