A day of Fast and Abstinence
All Roman Catholics, 14 years of age and older, are bound by
the law of abstinence (refraining from consumption of meat)
on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all the Fridays of Lent.
To fast, one should allow one full meal plus two smaller meals
and refrain from eating between meals (liquids allowed). During
Lent, this practice should be observed by all Catholics between
the ages of 18 and 59 on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule: 8. 00 a. m. , 1 1 . 00 a. m.
(school) and 7.30 p.m. bilingual.
Ash Wednesday Masses at nearby parishes:
Little Flower: 6.30, 7.15, and 8.15 a.m. (s), 12 noon, 7 p.m.
Our Lady of Mercy: 7, 8.30, and 11 a.m. (s), and 7.30 p.m.
Our Lady of Lourdes: 7, 8, and 9 a.m. (s), 12 noon, 5.30p.m.,

Confessions: “THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU”- confessions
will be heard at St. Bartholomew Church every Wednesday

Lenten season, each Catholic parish in

been reluctant to come to the sacrament, have been away for
some time or just found it difficult to get to a Saturday
afternoon confession time, this is a wonderful opportunity to
reconnect with Christ and His Church. Learn more at
www.thelightison.org.
Stations of the Cross will be held every Friday evening
during Lent at 7.30 p.m. This Friday, February 12, we will have

hemos trabajado toda la noche y no hemos pescado nada;
“¡No tengan miedo!”.
