Optimisation of existing hotel with 85 rooms

The hotel is located in the southern part of central Amsterdam
and is named after a well known author who took the initiative
for its realisation.
An extensive historical and value examination was done by us
to establish the possibilities and extent of the transformation. A
major part of the complex consists of listed monuments, some
of which were entirely re-build in the 1960’s.
Our plans involve the improvement of the routing and usage
and the optimisation of the guest rooms without compromising
the monumental status of the various buildings. We found
means for the creation of a more distinguished entrance and the
addition and enlargement of guest rooms.
