PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND BASIC USE:
FlameSafe® FS 900+ Sealant is cost-effective,
water-based and cures to form a flexible shield
against the spread of fire and smoke. It is available
in two grades: caulkable/trowelable (CG) and
self-leveling (SL). FS 900+ does not contain solvents and, as a result, is not toxic and will not
damage plastic pipes or cable jackets. FS 900+
can be used in various penetrations and construction/architectural joint configurations. Examples of
listed systems include metallic and non-metallic
pipes, cable and HVAC penetrations, concrete
floor-to-floor, floor-towall and wall-to-wall applications, as well as for concrete, CMU and gypsum
head of wall applications requiring dynamic joint
movement. FS 900+ is a versatile, yet economical
solution for a wide range of through-penetration
and joint construction conditions.

APPLICATIONS:
FlameSafe FS 1900 is used to seal openings in
fire-rated structures. Systems are available for
metallic and non-metallic pipe, cable, conduit,
cable tray and duct penetrations through typical
wall and floor construction. Also available for
joints between fireresistive assemblies (such as
wall-to-wall, floor-to-floor and head of wall),
concrete, masonry, fluted deck and gypsum substrates, wood joist floor-to-ceiling and chase wall
assemblies. FS 1900 is particularly suited for use in
applications where system vibration and building
movement are concerns.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND BASIC USE:
FlameSafe® FS 1900 Sealant is a high performance,
elastomeric and intumescent sealant. It is a high
solids, water-based compound engineered to
provide exceptional adhesive and elastomeric
properties for the demanding firestop requirements of pipe, cable, sprinkler penetrations and
construction joints when subjected to frequent expansion and contraction. FS 1900 is intumescent
and expands to fill the void created by the melting
and burning of PVC, CPVC, cc-PVC, ABS, cc-ABS,
PEX, insulated pipe and plastic coated cables. FS
1900 does not contain solvents and, as a result,
is not toxic and will not damage plastic pipes or
cable jackets.

FlameSafe® Silicone Sealant is a flexible product
used to prevent/reduce the spread of fire, smoke,
gases and water. It is designed for firestopping
applications for penetrations, construction joints
and perimeter (curtain wall) joints. It is offered in
two forms, a non-sag caulk, which can be troweled,
and a self-leveling grade that can be poured into
place in floor applications. Actual installation may
vary according to the type of firestop application.
Apply the required depth of sealant beginning on
the edge of the opening (use over various backing
materials as required). Insure that the sealant makes
complete contact with the inside surface of the
opening and also the surface of the penetrating
item(s).

APPLICATIONS:
FlameSafe FS 3000 has been tested for use in
perimeter barrier (curtain wall) construction and
head of wall applications. Apply coating uniformly
over mineral wool compressed into gaps, voids
or joint openings to obtain a minimum 0.125 in.
(3.18 mm) wet film thickness. Overlap coating
a minimum of 0.5 in. (13 mm) beyond all edges
of the opening onto surrounding construction
surfaces. Small or touch-up areas may be sprayed
or brushed.

FlameSafe® FSP 1000 Putty is an easy to install,
non-hardening and cost-effective firestop approved
for power and data communication cables. It is
intumescent, expanding to arrest the spread of
smoke, fire and toxic gases in fire-rated walls,
ceilings and floors. FSP 1000 offers excellent
dielectric properties and allows for easy re-entry,
making it well suited for applications in which
penetrants change frequently. Best known for its
ease of application and retrofit, FSP 1000 does
not require tools – simply handpack the putty into
the opening. In retrofit applications, remove the
putty, make the necessary cable changes and
repack the opening with the same putty!
®
FlameSafe FS 3000 Coating is a water-based,
elastomeric coating that is designed for spray
applications onto joints between fire-resistive
assemblies and perimeter barrier (curtain wall)
assemblies. FS 3000 cures to a strong,
flexible seal. The coating has
been tested to dynamic movement
conditions in accordance with
ASTM E1399 relating to seismic,
wind sway and FlameSafe FS

APPLICATIONS:
FlameSafe FSP 1000 is used in small opening,
through-penetration applications to seal openings
around metallic pipes and cables. FSP 1000 provides an immediate seal against air draft, smoke,
toxic gas and flame propagation.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND BASIC USE:
The FlameSafe® Intumescent Sleeve (FSIS) is a firestop seal for PVC, cc-PVC, CPVC, FRPP, PP and ABS
pipe and rigid non-metallic conduit installations.
Easily installed without modification, steel bolts or
fasteners, the FSIS is an ideal approach for firestopping combustible pipes penetrating the uneven
contours of a concrete fluted deck assembly. It
eliminates the need for collars or wrap strips. The
FSIS easily wraps around pipes and is manufactured
from a durable 28 gauge galvanized steel outer
shell that is lined with FlameSafe FSP 1100 Putty,
a highly intumescent, malleable material. The FSIS
is fastened with either fiberglass tape, pop rivets or
hose clamps around the pipe. When used in conjunction with FlameSafe FS 900+ or FS 1900
Sealant, it produces an immediate smoke seal.
APPLICATIONS:
The FlameSafe Intumescent Sleeve can be used
with PVC, cc-PVC, CPVC, FRPP, PP and ABS pipe
and rigid, non-metallic conduits in sizes ranging
from 1.5 in. to 8.0 in. (3.8 cm to 20.32 cm).
Available exclusively from Grace Construction
Products, it has also been tested and approved
for use in concrete floor/wall installations and
concrete fluted deck assembly. For application
with 6 in. (15 cm) diameter or smaller PVC and
CPVC, the FSIS has been approved with an
optional sleeve (S/10 or heavier) cast or grouted
into the floor or wall.

The FlameSafe® Intumescent Wrap Strip (FSWS) is
a highly flexible, resilient strip designed to firestop
combustible penetrants in fire-rated walls and
floors. Highly intumescent, the FSWS rapidly
expands to form a dense char to prevent the
spread of fire, smoke and toxic gasses when
exposed to temperatures in excess of 250°F
(121°C). The FSWS continues to expand up to
1000°F (538°C). Available in 12 ft (3.65 m) rolls,
the FSWS is easy to cut and fabricate to match the
circumference of the penetrant.

APPLICATIONS:
FlameSafe Pillows are used as a firestop to maintain
fire ratings up to 3 hours wherever penetration occurs through fire-rated walls and floor assemblies.
They may be used during the construction phase
as a temporary firestop or left in place as a permanent firestop. These pillows have been tested in
systems for 1 and 2 hour gypsum wallboard and
2 and 3 hour concrete wall and floor assemblies.
FlameSafe Pillows are a cost-effective solution for
firestopping power cables and
data/telecommunications cable which require
retrofit.

APPLICATIONS:
The FlameSafe Intumescent Wrap Strip is used in
conjunction with sealant as a “tuck-in” system or a
restraining collar to firestop combustible penetrants
such as PVC, cc-PVC, CPVC, FRPP, cc-ABS and ABS
pipe, as well as insulated pipe. It has been tested
and approved for use in concrete floor/wall, gypsum
wall, as well as wood joist and wood chase wall
floor/ceiling assemblies. Applications where annular space is restricted may require the use of the
FlameSafe Restraining Collar with the wrap strip.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND BASIC USE:
FlameSafe® Mortar Seal is a cost-effective material
available for projects with many large openings. It
is a lightweight, low density product that is mixed
with varying amounts of water to produce the proper
consistency for pouring, pumping or troweling into
the cavity. Common plaster machines may be used
to mix and pump into large openings. Mortar Seal
is paintable with alkaliresistant paint. It does not
shrink, assuring a smoke-tight seal when cured. It
has a zero flame spread and does not contain
solvents or silicones.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND BASIC USES:
ULTRA BLOCK® is a patented fire blocking backer
material that enables many elastomeric sealants
to have a 2-hour fire and temperature rating in
expansion joints. ULTRA BLOCK® is designed for
use in high rise office buildings, hospitals, schools,
hotels, prisons, enclosed sports arenas, airport
terminals, shopping malls, nursing homes, manufacturing plants, precast and pre-stressed concrete
structures, parking garages, warehouses, chemical
plants, elevator shafts, and others, to comply with
existing building and fire codes.
The systems will effectively contain fire, smoke,
and toxic fumes within a given area surrounded
by firewalls for a 2-hour period, thereby enabling
a safe and orderly evacuation of the surrounding
areas after the affected area is evacuated.
