Parent-Student-Teacher meetings
At the beginning of each year, teachers schedule times for short
meetings with all students and their parents or caregivers, to talk
about any concerns, any plans for the year ahead, immediate goals
or anything specific to do with learning. Although the meeting is
short, we do expect to catch up with all families, and we really
appreciate the value you place on this. You will see the date and
time for your meeting below. If you are unable to make this, please
let Amanda at the office know as soon as possible, so we can
reschedule, and so teachers are not spending valuable time
waiting! Thanks.

JUNIOR CAMP TOMORROW – IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ROOM 4 PARENTS
Everyone is very excited for tomorrow’s Junior camp at Quinney’s Bush! A copy of the gear list is in your child’s news
book/reading packet. Please leave your child’s CAR SEAT and gear outside the hall at the school entrance
tomorrow morning. Also please remember safety gear for scooters, skateboards and bikes; e.g. helmets/knee pads.
When the 9am bell rings, please gather in Room 4 for a briefing. We will leave school at 9.30am, visiting a hop farm at
Tapawera on the way to Quinney’s Bush. Parent helpers will need to bring
1) Your own lunch for Thursday. (Instant coffee and tea will be provided)
2) Gold coins if you wish to use the showers.
We will return to school after lunch on Friday, arriving back between 2-2:30pm.

TDC Signs – a competition. Almost seven years ago,
students designed the signs that mark Ngatimoti as a
community. Because they are looking tired and faded now,
the TDC have agreed to fund a new set of signs, and would
like students to design them. All that is needed is a good
idea, some planning for the layout and a design on a piece
of A4 paper. The message could have a road safety
message, or just a ‘Welcome to Ngatimoti’ might be
sufficient. Entries for this competition are due to Ms
Turner by 11 March (note an extension to the
previously advertised date!)

NGATIMOTI SCHOOL PARENTS GROUP - CAKE ROSTER
Each Friday we like to provide cakes and frozen Juicies for sale for $1 each to students. For this to happen we rely on our parents group i.e. all parents – to bake a cake, muffins or slices and bring them in to serve on Friday lunchtime. Students should still bring a healthy
lunch but could also bring $2 to buy a cake and a juicie if they wish. Funds raised for parents group go towards activities such as discos
and events organised throughout the year (we are always open to suggestions here). A termly roster is put out in newsletters to parents
for cake duty – watch out for your name and on your duty day please bring along cakes to serve from the hall. Our new lunch duty
coordinator is Catherine (Louie & Chico’s mum) – thanks Catherine! This terms roster is as follows:
