AMAZON SMILE – We recently became eligible to take
advantage of the Amazon Smile Program. This is a
program whereby Amazon donates 0.5% of all purchases
to a charity of your choice. ½ % doesn’t sound a lot but
can you imagine if we had all of our parishioners and
school parents sign up. The average Amazon Prime
customer spends $1,500 a year. If we had 1000
households nominate SFX as their recipient of the halfpercent we could be given a few thousand dollars each
year for use in our parish and school. Over the next few
weeks we will be promoting this program. We have some
postcards which we will give out after Mass and various

OUR PARISHIONER – Lucas Da Costa leaves for
Portugal on Sunday 28th August. We would like to get
together on Wednesday 24th August to send him off
with our prayerful best wishes. We will meet in the
church at 6:00pm to recite the Rosary followed by
Evening Prayer and Benediction. Please come and join
us as we offer our prayers for Lucas and his year abroad.
BIBLE DRIVE – After all Masses for the next three
weeks you will be able to place an order for a new Bible.
There will be various types and sizes available for you to
choose from (all the same Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition). We will take orders and buy the Bibles
in early September. If you would like a Bible and cannot
afford it just now, please let me know as one of our
generous parishioners has indicated that he would pay for
the Bibles in these circumstances.
PRO-LIFE MASS – On Saturday October 1st Bishop da
Cunha will lead us in prayer outside the abortion clinic in
Attleboro at 8:00am. Then he will celebrate Mass at St.
Vincent De Paul Church in Attleboro at 9:00am. Please
join us as we gather with our Bishop in support of the
unborn. We will have a bus leaving St. Francis at 7:00am.
