International Polymer Technology Conference and Exhibition 2013 (IPTCE13) will take place in Shah Alam, Malaysia from 16-18 April 2013. IPTCE 13 will assemble an international community of participants for the presentation of recent advances in polymer technology, the physical characterization and advanced performance attributes of both synthetic and biological polymeric material. IPTCE 13 is organized by faculty of Applied Sciences and Co-Organizers are German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and German Alumni KL. IPTCE 13 is supported by international polymer industry such as Continental Tyre, Bayer and NAZA. The conference topics cover the arc from fundamental synthetic methods for novel polymer syntheses to the application of designer polymers in leading edge scientific and technological arenas. An emphasis of the conference will be on polymeric materials that play critical roles in areas that positively impact society; energy, health, sustainability, and advanced technologies. Moreover, the conference will provide mechanisms for professional networking through discussion sessions, daily poster sessions, and the participation of a broad cross section of industrial, national laboratory, and academic scientists and engineers. It is going to be a two and a half days exciting and informative sessions with the contributions from experience and excellent speakers from industries and academic field. The theme of the conference is “Polymer in Automotive and Tyre Industry – Present and Future Trends”. This theme is chosen with the view that the Malaysian’s Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) in the automotive and tyre sectors play significant role in the Malaysian exports of rubber products. Currently, there are about 33 Small Medium Enterprise (SME) act as vendors to supply automotive components that use polymers (thermoplastics, composites and rubber) to PERODUA and PROTON and other automotive industries. There are 11 tyre manufacturing companies, and 12 companies producing inner rubber tubes in Malaysia. Apart from the National Car manufacturers, we have big names in the automotive industry such as the Mercedes, the BMW and the Volkswagen of Germany operating in Malaysia. Eminent Professors, Scientists and Technologist are invited as Keynote Speaker/Invited Speaker to deliver the latest information in their respective expertise areas. This is a golden opportunity for the SME, students, vendors and academicians to interact with the experts and tap their knowledge and information. OBJECTIVES To provide opportunities for researchers in field of polymeric materials to share and exchange ideas with each other. To establish relationship and foster cooperation between academicians, scientist, researchers and engineers from the fields of polymeric materials. Share and discuss the results of the study, knowledge and information and activities related the phenomenon of polymeric materials and technology. *No refund will be given for cancellation on received less than 7 days before commencement of the conference. Replacement of participant is allowed.
