Hardly any other bear has ever brought so much spontaneous enthusiasm to little as well as big animal lovers as the panda. His typically
patterned, black and white fur is always a feast for the eyes. The love story between man and panda began in 1938 when the first
bears fascinated visitors in English and American zoos. The cute and furry fellow has also made a lasting impression at Steiff as well.
He was already produced as a sample animal in 1938 and then as a registered design. And now the Steiff panda is celebrating his big
comeback in every aspect: as an impressive, beautifully crafted, classic pull-toy replica on cast iron wheels. The hearty panda with the
cuddly soft fur made of finest mohair, firm stuffing made of wood shavings, glass eyes and his impressive pull-string voice is another wonderful piece in the Steiff pull-toy animal series that found its way to the court of King Wilhelm II in 1911. The panda on wheels proudly
“bears” the underscored ”Button in Ear“ made of patinated steel and rolls in a Limited Edition of 1,000 pieces into the hearts of his fans.

Paul the growling bear is a replica of a Teddy bear from the year 1908. His unique charm and unbelievably friendly character evokes
memories of days gone by. Paul has very bright and watchful boot-button eyes and is made of long-tufted, blond mohair that has a little
soft shine and the traces left behind by many loving hands. The mohair has been specially treated and discreetly patinated with a bronze
colour – as well as the felt paws of the legendary “Bruin the Bear” that tell the stories of a bear’s eventful life. Thus Paul the growling bear
elates both Steiff friends and collectors alike in a Limited Edition of 1,908 pieces worldwide. His genuine character with the classic stuffing

— Mohair Teddy bear 1908
Following the green, yellow and rose-coloured Teddy bear, comes
the fourth and final candidate in the legendary “Fabulously-Coloured
Four”. This beautiful Teddy bear with black-tufted fur completes the
quartet of the beloved replicas of the four coloured originals. The
original four were sent as samples to England 100 years ago. He
is stuffed with wood shavings and his black fur made of finest
mohair allows the light-coloured cotton backing to show through
slightly which gives this beautiful replica its majestic yet nonetheless
friendly appearance. His little nose is horizontally embroidered and
sealed with wax and he “bears” the gold-plated Steiff “Button in Ear”
as well as the black and white tag. This extraordinary Teddy bear

— Cockatoo Rattle 1898
This has been a classic rattle for many years. Until 1918, it was one of the most wellknown and beloved baby rattles in the Steiff collection. Not only does this rattle have a
great success story but his realistic craftsmanship, his hand sewn bells, an extra bell in his
tummy, the five delicately sewn layers of wings plus the authentic material, makes this one
of the real collector’s items. It is made of felt – the material that Margrete Steiff worked with
in 1877 in her Filz-Konfektionswaren-Geschäft (Ready-Made Felt Goods Shop) and from
which she produced the legendary “little elephant” – the first soft stuffed animal in the world.
Since the Steiff trademark “Button in Ear” had not yet been introduced in 1898, the year
in which this rattle was “born”, this replica bears the first official button with the elephant
symbol.

— Mohair Teddy bear with hot-water bottle 1908
This Teddy bear can tell a truly eventful story: In 1906, an extremely harsh winter fell on the city of Berlin and covered it in snow – and
as we all know, necessity is the mother of invention, a Teddy bear was converted into a holder for a hot-water bottle in order to bring a
little warmth into the cold days with extremely low temperatures. In March 1907, this hot-water bottle bear, in whose tummy a hot-water
bottle made of metal was hidden that could be filled with hot water, was entered by Steiff as a registered design. The friendly Teddy bear
with the wide open, boot-button eyes that look out into the world has a friendly as well as pragmatic nature and is made of light brown
mohair and stuffed with wood shavings. On the inside – where the hot-water bottle is found – he has a lining made of felted wool. Whereas
this special Teddy bear was produced in 2001 with a size of 50 centimetres, the replicas of this edition have an impressive size of 58
centimetres in a Limited Edition of 1,908 pieces. Each of these “warm-hearted” bears also “bears“ the Steiff underscored “Button-in-Ear”
made of patinated steel.

— Alpaca Classic Teddy bear Leopard
Have you ever considered what is truly typical for a Teddy bear and just what makes him so special? Whether in classic brown or other
unusual colours, materials and patterns or whether it is clothed. Whether large or small – we always immediately recognize the Teddy
bear as such. That is because of his friendly, open nature and his characteristic body shape: slightly stocky; with a pronounced clipped
snout; a round, cuddly tummy; friendly, smiling eyes; and his wide, outstretched arms that are always ready for a happy, affectionate hug.
That is exactly what makes this friendly Teddy bear, “Leopard”, a classic ambassador of the Teddy bear species – even though at first
sight he might look as if he just escaped from the jungle, his beautiful, leopard-like patterned fur looks so perfectly “real”. The Teddy bear
“Leopard” is 40 centimetres tall and delights Steiff friends with his endearing nature, his soft fur made of high-quality alpaca that was

his silent paws are made of felted wool. This Teddy bear “Leopard” is the first of three unmistakable bear representatives that were created by the artist, Peter Lorenz, from Leverkusen on the occasion of the 2005 Teddy Bear Parade in Giengen. The original was 1.2 metres

From the series of successful Steiff Billboard Teddy bears, the friendly
”Teddy Signature“ is stepping into the spotlight following the ”Catalogue
Teddy bears“ 2006 and the ”Billboard Bear Margarete“ 2007 to
delight Steiff collectors and friends with his extraordinary ”fur“ made of
finest maco satin. The new signature pattern by Steiff is kept in a subtle
green and shows beautiful, original, hand-drawn Steiff bears and animal
sketches by Paul Steiff.
These valuable drawings also adorn the newly created packaging for
the various Steiff products. The Steiff designers were so inspired by
this new pattern that they designed the Classic Teddy bear ”Signature“

— Mohair Buddha Bear
Tranquillity breeds strength. Strength that comes from your center – the belly: this is one of the principles of Buddhist philosophy. The
Buddha bear is a part of this tradition. He is made of brass-coloured mohair and his facial expression, posture and aura were inspired by
classic Buddha figures. This bear is five-ways jointed and his legs are slightly bent, which enable him to sit in the lotus position in which
energy can flow freely. His belly, which according Buddhist philosophy constitutes the main focus, is somewhat larger; his nose, mouth and

— Mohair Classic Teddy bear with historic Silver Arrow Car
The Silver Arrow – one of the most famous Grand Prix racing cars by Mercedes-Benz. From 1934 to 1939, it was a feast for the eyes
and the ears for automobile fans all over the world. Our mohair Teddy bear with his sporting cap and goggles is obviously proud of the
legendary Silver Arrow that is crafted by master hand, manufactured with indigenous woods from the Erz Mountains and has been glazed
and engraved. True-to-original details such as the multi-part tires made of turned, black-stained beech, the spokes of natural maple, the
spoiler – made perfectly into the bodywork and subtly glazed in white – as well as the outside mirrors, the windshield framed in wood and
the licence plate delight collectors and automobile fans alike. However, the interior of the model leaves nothing to be desired either.

— Rough Rider
Sounds unbelievable, but it is true: No less than the American President, Theodore Roosevelt, lent his name to the beloved Teddy bear.
On June 8, 1958 on the occasion of Roosevelt’s 100th birthday, as a great parade took place in Giengen, an almost life-size horse
with the figure of Roosevelt was shown on one of the many procession cars – mounted on his horse and dressed in the uniform of the
first US volunteer cavalry regiment – the Rough Riders. Our Steiff designers were inspired by this legendary figure and have created a
unique homage to the great Teddy bear friend, ”Teddy” Roosevelt, with the handsome Teddy bear on a beautiful horse.
This elegant rider is presented as a cream-coloured, jointed Teddy bear made of finest alpaca. As a statesman, he is wearing a sandcoloured uniform made of cotton with a leather belt and a brown hat. The brim of his hat is fixed with the gold-plated Steiff ”Button in Ear”.
The horse crafted of exquisite mohair and has been hand painted realistically and with a great deal of detail. His hooves, the handmade saddle as well as the bridle are made of genuine dark brown leather decorated with studs and miniatures in perfection. The horse
with his rider is mounted on a wooden pedestal and its glazed surface is adorned with a small brass plate that bears the inscription
”Rough Rider”. Horse and rider are part of a Limited Edition of 1,858 pieces – commensurate with Teddy Roosevelt’s year of birth.

— Sigi, the hedgehog
Here comes another resident of Margarete’s Kitchen Garden where
the friendly and musical rabbit, Fritzle, already cavorts: Sigi, the
hedgehog. When one looks at his cute, smiling face, Steiff friends
know immediately how much Margarete Steiff must have liked the
real little animals in her own kitchen garden in the city of Giengen,
in the area of Germany known as Swabia. The “prickly” hedgehog
is so lovingly, intricately and realistically made. It certainly must have
been love at first sight – and it is still the same today! Sigi, the
successor of the hugely-popular rabbit, Fritzle, is made of finest alpaca
and spiked mohair which gives him his “lifelike”, typical hedgehog
appearance. Cautious and always hungry, as is Sigi’s nature, he also
has his delicious apple at hand and a little worm curiously pokes
his head out of the apple – both of which are lovingly made by
hand. And as far as his enthusiasm for music is concerned, Sigi’s
skills are nothing short of his predecessor’s, Fritzle: he can show off
his talents with his integrated music box and plays one of Margarete’s favourite melodies “Muss i denn...” – exactly as Sigi remembers
it when Margarete played the zither in her own kitchen garden.
And he moves his head in time to the music – after all, this is one
of his favourite melodies as well!

This lovely lady Teddy bear made of cream-coloured alpaca with her beautiful gown and graceful expression is a fairytale princess in
every aspect. She is masterfully crafted and modeled on the character from the fairytale, “Cinderella”, by The Brothers Grimm. The
“Cinderella” bear is the first in the new collector´s series, “Fairytales” by Steiff, which is dedicated to famous and beloved fairytale characters.
The Teddy bear is five-ways jointed, has a small horizontally-embroidered nose and black glass eyes that give her a lifelike character with
intense expression. “Cinderella” can stand alone thanks to the flat soles on her feet; this also emphasizes the opulence of her clothing.
This lady Teddy bear is wearing the same enchanting gown as the legendary Cinderella when she appeared at the Royal Ball: her
blouse and bloomers are made of organza, her petticoat is made of raw silk. The resplendent overdress is also made of organza embroidered
with silk. Her outfit is finished with a crowning achievement: she is wearing a delicate, rose coloured cloak with raw silk embroidery and
lining. On the her left paw sits a small dove made of white alpaca that proudly spreads its tail feathers intricately made of three layers of
felt. The little dove has a discreet airbrushed expression and gazes at the world proudly, yet curiously, with its little black eyes. “Cinderella”
is exclusively limited worldwide to only 500 pieces and “bears” the red and white Steiff tag as well as the gold-plated “Button in Ear”.
