The Zimbabwe Institute of Public Administration and Management is inviting tenders from reputable construction companies registered with SPB to submit bids for refurbishment of its facilities comprising.
1. Accommodation section: Hostels
a) Refurbishment of Hostel rooms to include the following:
Carpentry, Electrical, Window panes, fittings, Tiling, Plumbing and Painting
a) Renovate four rooms for easy access and use by the disabled in compliance with NSSA regulations.
b) Renovate rumps and install railing in compliance with NSSA regulations.
2. Kitchen and Dining Hall
a) Refurbishment of Kitchen and Dining Hall to include the following:
Carpentry, Electrical, Window panes fittings, Tiling, Plumbing, Painting
B) Repair Kitchen hood sinks and taps
Replacement of the following:
Extraction fan, kitchen sinks, taps, toilet and ceiling in the dining room
3. Repair laundry ceiling and toilets and fit ceramic tiles
4. Training Blocks – repair ceilings in two training blocks and attend to floors, ceiling, toilets and painting of walls in
PBS Block.
5. Administration Block: Paint the whole interior of the building and replace toilet systems
6. Remove walkway

COMPULSORY SITE VISITS
Bidders are compulsorily required to visit all sites where the equipment is located. Site visits will be conducted per province from 19th to 25th October, 2015. Schedule of visits shall be provided top prospective bidders at tender purchases
and Lot 2, rest of the Provinces. Bidders are therefore encouraged to visit all Provinces in each lot. Tender documents

TENDER FOR THE MAINTANANCE OF THE 14.5KM SOUTH BANK GRAVEL ACCESS ROAD FOR
THE PROPOSED BATOKA HYDROELECTRIC SCHEME AND THE GRAVEL AIRSTRIP.
Ref: ZRA/BSAR/09/02015
The Zambezi River Authority (ZRA) has set aside funds to finance various operations during the 2015 financial year and
intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for the works contract for the maintenance of the 14.35km South
Bank gravel access road for the proposed Batoka Hydroelectric Scheme (BGHES) and gravel airstrip
ZRA is a corporate body jointly and equally owned by the Governments of Zambia and Zimbabwe. In addition to the operation and maintenance of Kariba Dam complex, ZRA is mandated to investigate, develop, monitor and maintain new dam
sites on the stretch of the Zambezi River from Kazungula to Kanyemba forming a common border between the two contracting states.
ZRA now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders in Zimbabwe for the maintenance of the 14.5km South Bank gravel
access road for the proposed Batoka Hydroelectric Scheme (BGHES) and gravel airstrip.
The scope of work will include among other things:
Maintenance of the 14.5km access gravel road from the Victoria Falls Deka Mouth Road to the Batoka Gorge Dam Site
including the maintenance of the gravel airstrip. The maintenance works include provision of additional storm water
drainage structures.
.This tender is open to contractors of road works registered in Zimbabwe. Contractor’s current and past performance will
be assessed prior to award of contract through a strict due diligence exercise conducted on the two (2) most recent projects completed.
Bidding will be conducted through Open National Bidding Procedures and the complete set of tender documents are
available on the ZRA website:www.zaraho.org.zm. Bidders may also inspect the tender document from the Procurement
Section on the 4th Floor, Club Chambers, Cnr N. Mandela/3rd Street, Harare, A complete set of tender documents may be
purchased at the above address upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$20 cash.

Mandatory Site Visit will be held on 16th September, 2015. The bidders are requested to meet at Victoria Falls – Deka
Mouth Road 0845 hours. Departure to Site will be at 0900 hours. Following the site visit, a pre-bid meeting will be held to
clarify all issues that bidders may raise. The venue and time of the meeting will be advised just after the site visit.
Questions and clarifications regarding this Tender must be submitted to Zambezi River Authority in accordance with provision stated in the tender document no later than 28th September, 2015.
The closing date for the receipt of bids is Friday, 9th October, 2015 at 1430 hours local time. Bids shall be opened immediately thereafter in the Board room on the 4th Floor, Club Chamber Cnr N. Mandela/3rd Street Harare in the presence of
bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.
