We’re in the fall school semester when things begin to change and for many of us, our routines become more structured. Hopefully, it’s been a good summer for you and your family. One of the greatest things for me has been all the different things happening at FUMC of Pace. If you haven’t been keeping up, let me share some of the great “proud pastoral moments” for me. We’ve seen three different mission trips depart with the opportunity to bless them in worship. We have experienced an amazing Patriotic Celebration Sunday with our wonderful choir led by Chris (whom we sent off with blessings and love) and a beautifully decorated sanctuary/CCC thanks to Mary & Roxy and their team. This was followed by the amazing hospitality of our UMM, Christian Faith & Hope and many others who contributed to the potluck. Vacation Bible School was such a blessing with even more stunning decorations, where we touched the lives of nearly 50 different children and numerous volunteers. A huge thanks to the team of leaders, shepherds, support in the set-up/ clean-up, decorations and tasty dinners for anyone who had an interest in joining us. The summer continued with more of our amazing volunteers who stepped up and helped prepare for area churches as we hosted the Fifth Sunday Sing/Potluck Fellowship. There’s no way we could have done it without the leadership of Donna Palmer, Rev. Mike Roberts and the numerous others who stepped in to decorate, set-up and clean up the CCC. This was truly a proud pastor moment for me that seemingly wraps up our summer as we blessed backpacks, students, teachers, staff, and even families to mark the beginning of school this past week. Tuesday Men of Purpose Bible Study “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 STUDY: WHERE: WHEN: TEACHER: Three Musketeers of the Gospels Christian Community Center Classroom Tuesday mornings 6:30 - 7:15 a.m. John Swank The Three Musketeers of the Gospels is a story based on Scripture, history, tradition, Holy Land geography, and supposition about these men coming together to follow their King. They were common men, just as we are, and because they were called to follow the King, they changed the world. This story will blend the four gospel stories into a probable harmony of the events as they unfold. Wednesday W.A.G.S.
