STEP 2: EXHIBITION SITE Fiorenza, Triulza, Merlata, Roserio. Keep in mind these names: the entrance gates of Expo. How can you reach them? Here our suggestions COMING FRON MILAN The underground and the train are the fastest and cheapest means of transport to reach Expo J By undeground Take the Red Line n°1 (it stops at Duomo and Cadorna stations and crosses all the other underground lines) direction Rho Fiera Milano. Once arrived at Rho Fiera Station, go across the footbridge and you will reach the entrance WEST Porta Fiorenza. You will need an extra-‐urban ticket (5€ round trip). It takes 25 minutes from Duomo Station, 20 minutes from Cadorna Station, 35 minutes from Centrale Station. By train Remember Line S to Rho Fiera Milano Station. The round trip ticket (5€) allows you to reach Expo in 19 minutes from Garibaldi Station and you will find yourself at the entrance WEST Triulza. Rho Fiera Station is reachable by train from nine City Stations of the “Passante Ferroviario”: Certosa, Villapizzone, Lancetti, Porta Garibaldi Passante, Porta Venezia, Repubblica, Dateo, Porta Vittoria and Rogoredo. By taxi You will arrive at the EAST gate Roserio or at the SOUTH gate Merlata. From the taxi’s parking you walk to reach the entrance gate. The main taxi companies telephone numbers of Milano are: +39 02 4040, 02 6929, 02 8585 or use the smartphone’s App Get-‐a-‐Taxi By bike Bike-‐lanes are under construction and nearly ready and will take you from Piazza Duomo to Expo in about 45 minutes (if you are fit!) By car Expo area is strictly “no car”. By booking in advance, you can get a parking slot and you will be allowed to drive to one of the 4 car parking available: Merlata (close to the South Gate Merlata), Arese (connected by free shuttle with the East Gate Roserio), Fiera Milano (connected by free shuttle with West Gate Fiorenza), Trenno (connected by free shuttle with East Gate Roserio). COMING FROM OUTSIDE MILAN Are you planning to go to Expo without passing by Milano’s centre? Here how to do it: By train There is a Station especially made for the Exhibition, Rho Fiera Expo Milano 2015. At this station a lot of national and international trains will stop, also those of the regional lines from Arona, Domodossola, Varese and Torino; this station will let you in Expo by the West Gate Triulza. Note: if you buy your ticket before April 30 you will have a 30 % discount (Trenitalia) www.trenitalia.com. On the Italo trains you will find family friendly wagons (free Wi-‐Fi, changing table and big restroom, snack area, movie theatre wagon) and kids up to 14 years old travel for free if they are with an adult (www.italotreno.it). By Coaches Bus They arrive to Merlata (south) or to Terminal Roserio (east) parking; from here you can reach the entrance gates Merlata or Roserio. For both a reservation is required. By car Expo area is strictly “no car”. If you want to take the car remember Bla Bla car (www.blablacar.it), so that you can have a ride without any problems of parking! By plane Milano has 3 airports (Linate, Malpensa, Orio al Serio); they are equally far from the Exhibition Area. Outside each airport you can find shuttles, buses, trains to reach downtown By Camping Car If you come to Expo with your camping car look at the website www.drivingexpo2015.com, you will find all the information you need: parking areas, services, itineraries and specialized shops. WHEN TO VISIT EXPO Our suggestion is to visit Expo during the week, you will avoid crowd and queues at the entrance. It is estimated that in one day you will be able to see from 5% to 6% of the 132-‐featured attractions and of the 7000 daily events. The best idea is to visit Expo for at least 3 days and a few evenings, taking advantage of the night tickets. With kids the visit is slowed down, take an evening only for you to see Expo. But, were can you leave the kids in the mean time? Here some family friendly’s services and addresses, tested and awarded by Radiomamma’s blue logo, that you can surely trust!!!
