EXPLORE GREAT RIVERS ALL AROUND ALTON, IL 2016 FALL GUIDE into Autumn Autumn is here. You can feel it in the crisp air that carries with it the scent of freshly picked apples. You can see it in the leaves that begin their annual shift to the glowing colors that mark the season. Autumn beckons us to take to open roads and stop at roadside stands to sample freshly picked fruits and vegetables. Like a freshly painted canvas, the brush strokes of autumn speak to us of festivals and orchards, hiking and river cruises, crackling fires and flushed cheeks.
