The Flemish village of Godewaersvelde in Northern France is
the host venue for the inaugural running of the Las Vegas
Hoppeland Historic Rally on Saturday 10th November 2012.
Solely devoted to crews who compete in cars dating from the
‘60s to the ‘80s, the rally attempts to re-create
re
the
atmosphere of the golden days of rallying and may be
regarded as a tribute to the rallying historic past.
Nine special stagess are included in the provisional route
consisting mostly of twisty farming lanes in the rolling hills of
Catsberg and Casselberg amounting to just 90km of
competitive driving.
Ecurie Hoppeland is delight to join forces with their friends and
colleagues from Killarney & Distric Motor Club to offer
competitors using Historic, Post Historic and Classic Car an
exciting incentive to come and enjoy two rallies solely devoted to
crews who compete in cars dating from the ‘60s to the ‘80s.
In an innovative move, crews who start both clubs events will be
offered the opportunity to win a free entry. Basically how the
system works is that whoever is the best classified crew on the
Las Vegas Hoppeland Historic Rally will be offered a free entry
on the Killarney Historic Rally and whoever is the best classified
crew on that event will have their Hoppeland
Hoppel entry fee refunded
The event will feature cars from 2 categories ensuring
plenty of sideways action :
- Historic Rally for cars built to FIA specification and running
with FIA Historic Technical Passports.
- Classic Rally for cars built to MSA/RACB specification and
running with National Historic Technical Passports.
