Life Long Faith Focus on the Gospel:
John 11:17-18, 19-27
As Lent draws to a close, the Church gives us
the Gospel of the raising of Lazarus. At
Christ’s word, the dead man comes forth, bound in burial
cloths, a reminder that it is never too late to seek new life
that comes from Christ. There is no death, no loss, no corruption, that Christ’s powerful word cannot sweep away.
Martha, the loving sister of Lazarus, is another sign of
hope. In her, we find a model of mature faith, a faith that
“comes to believe,” a heart that persists in prayer, even
when all hope is lost, and trusts in God in the face of death
itself.

Each Friday of Lent, Stations of the Cross are
prayed in the church beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The devotion of the Stations of the Cross is traditional during Lent as it helps us journey with
Jesus on His way to Calvary.
The Rosary is prayed after the daily Masses during the week
in the Bride’s Room. Everyone is invited to join for this very
important prayer.
FAST AND ABSTINENCE: Ash Wednesday and Good
Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for
Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory
days of abstinence. For members of the Latin Catholic
Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18
until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat
one full meal. Two smaller meals may also be taken, but
not to equal a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence
from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic

Healthy, Wednesday, April 9th, 2:00-3:00 p.m., Parish Hall
Among older adults, falls are the leading cause of both
fatal and nonfatal injuries. Join us as we discuss how
balance matters in your daily life! Heather McBride,
Occupational Therapist with HealthSouth Plano, will
explore risks for falls and how to prevent falls and improve
your balance. Afternoon snacks and door prizes will be
sponsored by HealthSouth Plano Rehabilitation Hospital.

Hour
and
Stations
of
the
Cross
A Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration is held every
Thursday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Each Holy Hour will begin
with a sung or spoken version of the 3:00 prayer, the
Chaplet of Divine Mercy. All are invited! During Lent,
Thursday Holy Hours will be followed by the Stations of the
Cross in the Church.
OUTREACH
PRO-LIFE MINISTRY MEETING – The next meeting of
the Mary Immaculate Pro-Life Ministry will be held at 7:00
p.m. on Thursday, April 10th in the Administration
Conference Room. We will need many hands to help
prepare baby banks for our upcoming pro-life

HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SCHEDULE
Journey of Hope Ministry…The more you
open yourself up to God, the more He,
through the Holy Spirit, will guide your
heart. The Holy Spirit is your advocate, your guide, in daily
living. The more you work to center your life on Christ and
doing God's will, the more sensitized to a feeling of peace
you will become. Let that feeling of peace, or the lack of it,
be your guide. As a general rule, when you are doing God's
will you will find peace. If you are not, peace will be fleeting
or non- existent. While it is true that God leads you through
difficult times to form you and strengthen your faith, through
prayer and reflection you will come to know if the struggle is
leading you closer or further away from God. Follow the
peace. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not
as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts

FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT
La Fe de Toda la Vida Centrada
en el Evangelio: Juan 9, 1-3, 5-7
Al acercarse el final del tiempo de
Cuaresma, la Iglesia nos presenta
en el Evangelio de hoy la resurrección de Lázaro. Al escuchar la orden de Jesús, el
hombre que estaba muerto, revive, envuelto en un
sudario como señal de que nunca es demasiado
tarde para buscar la nueva vida que viene de Cristo.
No hay ninguna muerte, pérdida, o corrupción, que
no pueda ser abolida con la palabra poderosa de
Cristo. Martha, la hermana amorosa de Lázaro, es
otro signo de esperanza. En ella, encontramos un
modelo de fe madura, una fe inquebrantable, un corazón que persiste en la oración, incluso cuando se
pierde toda esperanza, Martha confía en Dios ante
la misma muerte.

 Tu último día de clase es el Miércoles, 16 de Abril de
7 a 8:30 p.m.
 La inscripción para tu segundo año será el 15 y 21 de
Mayo de 6:30 a 8:30 p.m. Padres de familia, por favor inscriban a sus hijos cualquier de estos dos días
para evitar que tengan que estar en lista de espera.
Confirmación 2: Tu Certificado de Confirmación estará
disponible para recogerlo el Miércoles, 23 de Abril de
7:00 a 8:30 p.m. (horario regular de clases). Por favor
ven para compartir un dulce juntos y celebrar que ya estas Confirmado!
Proyectos de Servicio
Estaremos recolectando proyectos de servicios a través
de todo el verano para todos los estudiantes que entraran al programa de Confirmación el año escolar 20142015. Si tiene alguna pregunta, llame a la oficina al 972243-7104, ext. 56.

Estoy convencido de que nada podrá separarnos del amor de
Dios; ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni los ángeles, ni los poderes y
fuerzas espirituales, ni lo presente, ni lo futuro, ni lo alto, ni lo
profundo, ni ninguna otra de las cosas creadas por Dios. Nada
podrá separarnos del amor que Dios nos ha mostrado en Cristo
Jesús nuestro Señor!

segundo idioma) en María Inmaculada los martes y
viernes de 9:30 a 11:00 a.m. en el cuarto de reuniones.
