Art has been around for
centuries. From the Greeks with
their architecture, to now a days
pop cultural art. Whether it’s
the art of a beat, or the flow of a
paint brush.
Take the time and look
around. Look at the beauty of
not only a painting but the
structure of how objects are
made around you. There is art
anywhere you go. Its hiding, but
time can only show you where it
is.

Achievement Motivation
Achievement Motivation is when
a person is motivated to do well in
something and believe in his/hers
selves because somebody else
believed in him/her. You can set
goals as a family, couple, or friends
to motivate each other to get better
and accomplish those goals, but
make sure they are doable. Don’t
psych yourself out. If a friend is
stressing out just try to motivate
him/her and tell them that they need
to relax just a little bit. You
especially need to try and help the
people who are competitive and get
in over their heads. Some people who
aren’t doing their best may think that
they can’t do much better, but all
they may need is a little motivation
from somebody. That somebody
could be you!

Youth Programs
Youth Programs are a very
important part of our school and our
community. A few programs that our
school offers FFA, FCCLA, Mock
Trial, band, drama club, and a
mentoring program. Youth groups at
churches are also a great place for
kids to get involved and to build strong
relationships. You need to try to
encourage your friends and families to
get some things out of what the school
programs may offer. It helps build
friendships and leadership skills that
you can use throughout the rest of your
life. I also believe that doing youth
programs benefit your future in a big
way.

This year I’m going to apply myself to my life outside of school
as well as on the inside just to graduate. Life outside is the main
focus because it is what we are dealing with longer; it affects us
more. If we Apply ourselves for the life that will awaken
humanity, although, it may take time, effort, perseverance, social
skills, and out of way abilities but by the end everything will be
worth it. I myself will push forth more of my abilities and more
of my skills.

In 2014 I did a lot. Most of the things I did were great
accomplishments; however, this year I would love to do some
things differently. Last year one of my biggest goals was to get
fit and the only thing I did to accomplish that goal was talk
about it. I set a lot of goals, some of which are wellness goals,
others academic, and the rest, have to do with my personal
relationships, but I never actually fulfilled my goals. This year I
want to make a point of accomplishing my goals. I want to
become the person I have always wanted to be, and I am going
to do this by a lot of hard work and determination.
This year I am going to try and do better in all aspects of my life. I
want to graduate and get a better paying job. I am going to try and
meet the goals I have set to become a better person. My goals are
both academically oriented but also personal. I would like to take a
job opportunity in Texas and walk across the stage come May. I
have many goals, and I know that a lot of people are just talk when
it comes to things such as these but, with my friends and family I
shall be successful in my goals to achieving these goals as I
embark on this wonderful new beginning in 2015.

Going to UK vs. Michigan elite 8 games in Indianapolis where I watched
Aaron Harrison make a three pointer in the final seconds of the UK to
the final four. It will always be my favorite memory, it was AWESOME!
What was a goal you achieved during 2014?
Graduating from Morehead state University and getting a job
What did you do for New Year?
I went to a friend’s house, watched the ball drop, and then caught up on

Who Has The Odds Of Winning: The
Ohio State Buckeyes are starting
to get used to being underrated.
They have been underdogs in
their past two contests and are
currently slated as 6.5-point
underdogs in the College
Football Playoff National
Championship Presented By AT&T. This public
mindset has become so prevalent that when Buckeyes linebacker
Darron Lee was told his team was not the favorite in the upcoming title game against Oregon,
he replied: "Underdogs again. The whole world had us losing this one [to Florida State], right?
No shocker, no shocker."
At some level, it seems understandable that Oregon is considered the favorite. The Ducks have
not been an underdog in any of their games this season. They also have this season's Heisman
Trophy winner in Marcus Mariota and are coming off a performance in which they set a record
for the most points (59) and most yards (639) in a Rose Bowl game, as they handed Florida
State the worst bowl loss by a defending national champion since the Associated Press started
its poll in 1936.
Brynn Anderson Ohio State has a real weapon on the ground in Ezekiel Elliott, who set a Sugar
Bowl record for rushing yards last week.
Having noted this, it does seem odd
Ohio State isn't being given more credit
for having the nation's longest active
win streak (12 games) and for winning
the Big Ten championship game and
Sugar Bowl by a combined score of
101-35. In fact, after taking a closer
look at some of the elements of this
matchup; it becomes clear that a
strong case can be made for the
Buckeyes to be the favorite. -ESPN

Down goes the Ducks to a 42-20 loss to the Ohio
State Buckeyes. The Bucks got the job done early in
the game. The Ducks did give their all, and they
held on until the end fighting to try and defeat the
bucks. Rumors had it that the bucks couldn’t do it
but they went out and played the game they
loved. Ohio State (4) defeated the Oregon Ducks
(2). Ezekiel Elliott and the Buckeyes won the first
College Football Playoff national championship,
upsetting Marcus Mariota and Oregon 42-20 on
January 12th. Elliott, a sophomore, was the
offensive MVP and ran for 246 yards and four touchdowns on a
career-high 36 carries. Even with the benefit of four Ohio State turnovers, the
Ducks were held to their lowest point total of the season, four touchdowns below
their average coming in. They went 2 for 12 on third downs, with two dropped
passes in the first half. But by the time Elliott went in from 2 yards out with 9:44
left in the fourth to make it 35-20 it was clear this night had turned into a Buckeyes
Bash, and then with 28 seconds left in the game Elliot with the 1-yarder finished
the night.

HOLIDAY TOURNEY CHAMPS!
G-MEN Move To
11-1
Over the holiday break our G-Men had a
lot of success. On December 29-30th our
school hosted the annual Holiday
Tournament. Our boys played against the
Eastern Warriors and had no trouble at all
comingout with the win with a score of 7649. Eastern was no match against our GMen. For the Championship game of the
tournament, our boys had to play Western
Brown. Again. They were no match for our
G-Men. We got the win with ease. Senior
Jake Cropper couldn't be stopped that
game and ended up scoring 31 of the GMen's 79 points. The final score of the
game was 79-44.

HOMECOMING 2015
On January 9th the G-Men had a tough battle at Batavia
that night. Unfortunately they lost with the score of 71-66.
Our boys just had an off night. It happens. That was the
first loss of the season for the G-Men which put their
record to 10-1. After the loss against Batavia the G-Men
were ready to come out, get things done, and win their
homecoming game against New Richmond on January 16th,
and that they did. Our boys didn't have an outstanding
night but they played there butts off and never gave up
they kept going at the Lions, and for that they came out on
top in a close game. The final score was 57-56. Senior
Daniel Broadwell had the game winning layup to put the GMen up by 1 in the final seconds. Senior Tanner Pack was
selected player of the game against New Richmond scoring
19 points for the G-Men.

In this generation it is
becoming more and more popular
for teens to be closer to their
friends than their
own parents. My

older generations

with it.
My mother recently had a
fight with her now exboyfriend.
My mother and I wanted to go
to Kettering, Ohio, to visit some
friends that we considered as
family. He disagreed with the
entire idea. He claimed that

be blood related. They can be

people who helps you most, and
if they are your friends then so
be it. It’s okay to be closer to
friends. Don’t worry about
what others think. Worry about
how you feel in your heart.

Evil” which consists of Royce and Eminem.

What to expect
This album highly is anticipated by
many people. Hearing the names
Royce Da 5’9” and DJ Premier
together you know you are in for a
very technically skilled, ambitious,
well produced, and entertaining
album. The way that Premier
produces gives a very smooth flowing
album; even in the harder tracks the
production seems mellow but
aggressive. With the very nice
production you have Royce who is
one of the most technical lyricists out
right now, and when he gets on an
easy flowing beat he can do some
damage. Expect good production,
composite lyrics, and charismatic
features.
Born Adrian Younge, this producer is
not as big as someone such as DJ
Premier or Grand Master Flash but
he definitely is a name. He helped
produce some of the tracks on this
album. He is known as a psychedelic
soul producer; which seems to be a
good thing as far as Royce’s ability to
flow on just about anything. He is
not a member of “PRhyme” but is a
producer on this project. His beats
really seem to stand out, but stay in
the guidelines of this album. Good
job to Adrian on this album.

Home is supposed to be where your heart is, but sometimes
things change. Sometimes people change and drift apart.
If your parents have split up and aren’t together just
know that it’s a better decision that they made to be
happy. Some people fall out of love just like they fall in
love. It might be difficult to understand at first, and
maybe for a while after that. To see your mother or father
with somebody else is probably uncomfortable at first.
Here are some tips to help you cope and deal with your
divorced parents.

Understand that none of what is happening is your fault:
Sometimes, despite the best intentions and efforts, two people just cannot make
things work. Sometimes people don't work hard enough at it. But, whatever makes
them come to a realization that it cannot work, there is nothing you could have
done to change the situation and you can't change their minds either.
Demand visitation rights:
It is very important to grow up with two parents in your life. You need to spend
time with both of them. You might favor one more than the other, but you still
should put forth an effort to spend equal time with them.
Find someone to confide in:
Whether it’s a close friend, brothers or sisters, different family members.
Everybody needs somebody to vent. Bottling all your emotions and problems up
can only cause stress and more problems.
Demand that you are kept up to date:
Even though this is between your parents, this directly affects you. You deserve
to know what is going on. You want to know if their working things out, or if
they’re not. But remember there are things that happen between them that you
don’t always need to know.
Acknowledge the fact that your parents might find another:
Everyone deserve to be happy. You are the happiest when you’re with or around
people you love. Your parents will find love again, and that’s something you will
have to cope with overtime. You might enjoy a step parent, or you could feel
completely the opposite.

The Final
Buzzer
Over Christmas break the Lady G-Men defeated the Eastern Warriors
in game one of the Holiday Tournament. Senior, Ally Dowd, hit a game
winning three to claim the win over Eastern. They faced off against the
Fayetteville Rockets for the championship game. It was a fast paced game.
The Lady G-Men put up a very good fight against the very good Fayetteville
team, but they couldn’t capitalize and win the Holiday Tournament. The
Lady G-Men finished second.
Lady G-Men vs. Lynchburg Clay
The Lady G-Men faced off against Lynchburg
Clay on Saturday Jan. 10th. The Lady G-Men
were defeated by Lynchburg 53-36.
Lady G-Men vs. Western Brown
On Thursday, Jan 15th the Lady G-Men traveled
to Western Brown to play the Lady Broncos.
The Lady G-Men came to play and won by a
score of 30-37.

My Review:
“So everyone is saying how you see these
glitches and bugs on the app. I downloaded it
recently and to me, it’s a great app! The only
problem with the app is when you create an
emblem.”
I love this app so much. This app lets me know what my KD (kill death
ratio) is. If you love Call of Duty, you will love this app. They have
released a lot of companion apps for a lot of games, but by far this is
the second best. The first would be the Assassin’s Creed app.

“This app gives you all the information related to
your character in the game. It records all statistics,
data, and everything else that you come in contact
with. This also provides detailed back story for the
plot in the main narrative.”

This companion app is very helpful when it comes to finding out my
stats. I haven’t used it very much because I haven’t played a lot of
Destiny. I’ve been playing my favorite game of all time (Assassin’s
Creed).

“I love how I can link my Assassin’s Creed black flag game here to
this app. I never cared for the fleet system in the game because I
would never remember to go back and get my money. This app
helps make the money I need to keep my ship up and running and

My Review:
I love this app because it’s so handy to pull up and use when I forget to do my fleet missions.
It’s an easy way to get the money I need to upgrade my health or my gun holsters. It’s really
helpful when you’re away from home and you can still make money because you didn’t even
have to have the game system on.

“This app is simply not enjoyable. I don’t find the
puzzles to be entertaining in any way. I have a
hard time seeing shapes on my iPhone 5; I have a
hard time imagining anyone having fun trying to
make out small shapes that only appear for a few
seconds.”

I have not played or used this app. But I can tell you that I will eventually play
and use the app. Assassin’s Creed is and always will be my favorite game of all
time. It’s just awesome how they alter history and put everything together. I
heard a lot of bad things about this game, but nothing will ever stop me from
