Record
Breakers!
July 2nd 2011 witnessed an incredible feat of gastronomy,
The World’s Largest Single Serving of Fish & Chips!!
Weighing in at 101lbs 7ounces this world beating feast was verified by Guinness Book
of Record adjudicator Rob Malloy as the largest single serving of fish and chips
that the world has ever seen. Over a year of meticulous planning, a colossal Halibut,
over 60lbs of chips, a large vat of mushy peas and not forgetting our unique Black
Sheep Batter and a giant custom made frying pan. Finally Chef John Barley and his
brigade of chefs were able use all their culinary knowhow and experience for the record
attempt. The pressure was on, with over 300 guests waiting to sample the fish and
chips, several national and international TV crews covering the event and the strict but
personable Guinness book of records adjudicator monitoring watching our every move.
After several weigh-ins and the all-important taste test Rob Molloy announced to the
rapturous applause of all the staff and guests that The Wensleydale Heifer was the new
Guinness World Record Holder.
Our famous fish & chips are always available at the Heifer served on our specially
commissioned Villeroy-Boch newspaper printed plates.

The Wensleydale Heifers biggest ever
competition is back!!
This will run throughout 2012 with many fantastic prizes including a Heifer Millionaire
stay and dine to the value of £450 - To enter - just pick up a banner or simply download
one from our website, then take it with you to the most weird and wonderful places that
you may visit. Take a photograph holding the Wish You Were Here slip then either post it
on our Facebook page, email or send it to us with your name and address. There are five
different categories ‘Furthest Distance’, ‘Most Spectacular’, ‘Funniest’, ‘Most Imaginative
and finally the ‘Cutest’. So if you are planning a sky dive from the summit of Everest
whilst dressed in a comedy cow outfit carrying a cute puppy, then you could sweep all the
prizes - as long as you get the photograph.

For starters we have the house platter for two, which comprises of all the
appetisers on one plate!! And for those with a sweet tooth the assiette
of desserts, incorporating all of our pastry chef’s finest creations is a must A true taste of The Heifer!!
Eylsa looks dismayed, her new sister Thia won’t even try the Fish and Chips that she has been
busy preparing all morning. She can’t seem to understand that she is only six months old and only
drinks milk.

choice of six starters, six main courses and six desserts.
The menu changes regularly dependent upon the freshest

sourced meats including possibly the biggest Yorkshire

Moo’ve Over Darling
Is it a cow or is
it a car?
This new addition to the Heifer herd has raised a few
eyebrows throughout the Yorkshire area.
David Moss tells us that he is currently in talks with a local
scientist to try and convert the car to run on milk, hopeing that
it could achieve 20 miles to the pint. He also is attempting to
lobby his local MP to change the law so that the car can moo
rather than peep. Finally David is struggling to find a local
garage that is brave enough to do an emissions test as they
all fear what may come out of the back!!!
