Born and raised in Hereford, Texas, Valerie graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2005
with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She has been with Happy since 2003 and
currently serves as branch manager for the Paramount location in Amarillo. She serves as a
director on the board for the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the
Women’s Banking Association. Valerie is married to Joel and has two children, Brooke, 12 and
Emma, 1.

6 cups Corn Chex Mix Cereal
1 ½ c peanut butter (creamy or
crunchy)
1 ½ c semi sweet chocolate chips
2 c powdered sugar
1 gallon size zip lock bag
1 c peanuts (optional)

Puppy Chow
Measure cereal and set aside in large bowl. In
microwaveable bowl, microwave peanut
butter and chocolate chips for 1 minute then
stir. Place in microwave another 15 seconds
and stir. (Mixture should be smooth.) Pour
mixture over cereal and stir evenly to ensure
all cereal is coated well. Pour into gallon size
zip lock bag. Add powdered sugar and seal.
Shake well until sugar is evenly coated. Pour
into serving dish and enjoy!
