Tips & Tricks
 Before getting started always make a working
sample for quality control on your project. Doing so
will insure that your consistent with the color
desired.
 Mixing clean water first will keep Tuscan Colorant
from sticking to the sides or bottom of container.
 The color wash system can be mixed to any desired
ratio, but some great starting points are as follows;
 50:1 – 50 parts water to 1 part colorant.
 100:1 – 100 parts water to 1 part colorant.
 Wetting the wall down first will give you more control
of color. It will also allow multi-colors to blend
together easier.
 Applying colorant in an “S” type pattern is a great
way to start, however any technique will work.
 Use rags to dab up drips, you can also use your rag
to take off more color or manipulate the color to
where you prefer it.
 When applying sealant, make sure there are no
drips or heavy overlapping. If you do get
overlapping continue to roll until line disappears.
