Staining, shading, and frescos are created with a simple spray bottle system. Tuscan Color Wash Kit includes 12-8oz jars. All colors are available as singles in 16oz jars. Uses Because of the virtually unlimited design capabilities color washing provides, countless color tints, shades, and looks can be easily achieved. Interior or exterior, focal walls or large partitions, color washing will give your wall a dramatic effect simply and affordably. Coverage All coverage’s are approximate and depend upon details and individual application technique. When mixed 50:1 water to color ratio (in ounces) with clean water Tuscan Color Wash will stain approximately 100sf. Materials Needed: Spray Bottles Pressure Pump Spray Bottles Airless Spray Pump White rags Five Gallon Bucket(s) 9” wide 1/4” Nap Roller Tuscan Colorant Mixing Instructions 1. Fill bucket or spray bottle with clean water. 2. Add Tuscan Colorant to bucket or spray bottle with clean water. 3. Mix the colorant completely. 4. Using spray bottles saturate the wall completely with clean water. 5. Start from left to right in an “S” type motion when applying color. 6. Dab up any drips or runs with rags. 7. Let dry for twenty-four hours to allow for curing. 8. Once dry, roll or spray on Tuscan Sealer. 9. Using a clean rag, wipe up remaining remnants with warm soapy water. Colors/ Finishes Available in 12 standard colors, Tuscan Color Wash can be blended together to create any color your imagination can dream. Doing so will insure that your consistent with the color desired. Mixing clean water first will keep Tuscan Colorant from sticking to the sides or bottom of container. The color wash system can be mixed to any desired ratio, but some great starting points are as follows; 50:1 – 50 parts water to 1 part colorant. 100:1 – 100 parts water to 1 part colorant. Wetting the wall down first will give you more control of color. It will also allow multi-colors to blend together easier. Applying colorant in an “S” type pattern is a great way to start, however any technique will work. Use rags to dab up drips, you can also use your rag to take off more color or manipulate the color to where you prefer it. When applying sealant, make sure there are no drips or heavy overlapping. If you do get overlapping continue to roll until line disappears. Technical & Field Services Available upon request.
