Give a little love to your furry friends and
smooch a pooch at The Dog Club of West Linn’s
kissing booth.
The booth, which will be open during business
hours through Valentine’s Day, Monday, will
raise money for Project Pooch — a Woodburnbased nonprofit pairing supervised, incarcerated
youth at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility
with homeless dogs to train in preparation for
their “forever” homes.
“It really changes their lives,” Cathy Cox,
president of The Dog Club, said of the youth.
Stop by to take a picture with your dog in the
booth, handmade by Cox’s husband, for a dollar
a piece if taken on your cell phone.
Or, pay $5 to receive a print of your snapshot,
available to pick up at the store by Tuesday.
Project Pooch T-shirts will also be on sale for
$25, and donations are welcome.
The Dog Club will have a wish list for items
needed for Project Pooch such as towels, blankets and leashes as well and, if a customer purchases items to donate from the club, he or she
will receive a discount not only on the donated
items but also on the items they buy for their
own dogs.
