From Our President
I hope everyone is enjoying the cool weather which means that fall is just around the corner; where did
the summer go? Fall migration was a ball this year filled with lots of activities including Bob and Candy’s ceremony and party, the CFSC cookout and the Pirate’s Cove party, plus all the music and dancing.
We had a well-attended and fun October CFSC meeting at the Shrine Club. The nominations’ committee presented a slate of officers and at large board position including the following:
President - Keith Thompson, Vice President – Donnie Davis, Treasurer—Linda Gordon, Secretary—Pat
Ellis, Sergeant at Arms— Bob Cancro, and at large board positions Barry Jordon and Abe Walston. The
election of officers and board positions will be held at the November 14th CFSC membership meeting.
We are excited about our November meeting which will be held at the Soundbar Lounge on Carolina
Beach Road. Rick Strickland and Lesa Hudson will be performing for us and Eddie Baker will be the
DJ; so come out and join us for a night of dancing and good music. Plans are underway for our Christmas Party which will be held on December 12th; so mark your calendars and let’s dance!
