Noah and the Ark and Thanksgiving Weeks Ending November 13th
Noah and the Ark and Thanksgiving
Weeks Ending November 13th & November 20th
Short, short summary: This week the children have enjoyed continuing our investigation of animals with our exploration of Noah’s
Ark. We counted all the animals ‘two by two' as Noah did when he brought them into the Ark. We created a colorful rainbow using lots
of loose parts in all the many colors, similar to the rainbow Hashem showed Noah after the flood. In preparation for Thanksgiving we
have been working in our organic garden, planting vegetables and herbs, with the guidance of Bubby Lilah, our gardening expert. We
have also been learning all about Thanksgiving and preparing for thanksgiving lunch with our families. We have added real forks, glass
cups and beautiful fabric tablecloths to our in school dining experience. The children are doing so well transitioning from baby cups to
real cups. They are learning how to hold their cups with two hands, slowly sipping and gently placing it back on the table. It’s no easy
task, but we are all persevering.
Please read below for a more in depth look at our explorations and don’t forget to check out our FB group to see all of our pictures.
