Boffers are foam weapons used for light-contact battles individually and as teams.
This workshop is designed to challenge players in a fun, safe, collaborative environment.
Participants will learn to play individually and in groups with a number of different
weapons including swords, staves, and axes. Group games will offer experience in
leadership, flexible thinking, planning, and developing and adapting strategies.
While the majority of participants are on the autism spectrum disorder, this event is open
to friends and family as well. There is no minimum or maximum age but participants under
10 years old are encouraged to bring a partner of a similar age, and everyone must be
verbal and safe without one-on-one monitoring.
