July, 2013 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance. Psalm 33:12 Julie Prescott Julie has been attending LECC for a few months. She has now placed her membership with us. Julie has a daughter, Jessica that you may have met as well. Welcome to our church family Julie! 900 N. Bay Street, #1 Eustis, FL 32726 Judah Tangshing in Myanmar We have Myanmar traditional water festival every April and we had Bible teaching in those days. We hosted over 150 people in those days. We divided four classes and several teachers taught different subjects. I taught of Jesus’ resurrection. Khaw taught how to praise God. Every night we had different kinds of talent shows and competitions and the seminar went well and everyone enjoyed it. We teached Christian Giving in January and February in Wireless church, and the result is the Wireless church donation goes up double. We are planning to start some new churches in Rakhine and Sagaing. It shows us that the Word we preach does not come back empty. It brings wonderful spiritual fruits. His Word is living, hallelujah, praise the Lord. We have some unrest in west part between Rakhine Buddhist and Muslims and in central part of Myanmar between Burmese Buddists and Muslims. Some were killed by these unrests and many victims are in temporary camps. Please pray for us that we can share the gospel to the victims there that they can hear the truth. The orphans we take care are doing well and we will get some new orphans this year also. The school will start in June and they are excited for the next new school year. Khaw, I and two of our four children (Tangseing and Pesan) are planning to come and visit the supporters there (States) and we hope we can see the supporters as much as we can so that we can share what God is doing in Myanmar and to praise God together. Please pray for us that we can get visas as we pray and plan. And please pray for the ministry of Myanmar as we leave here for some weeks too. Thanks again for all things you have done for us. May the Lord shower His heavenly blessings upon you richly. Love in Christ, Judah and Khaw. Christmas Store Each month we will focus on a specific age group and gender for gifts to purchase. There will be a Christmas Store table in the lobby the 2nd Sunday of each month for you to drop off the gifts. Please drop off new toys only. Everyone had a great time! Brian Palmer led this year’s VBS with a great number of volunteers who we thank for giving of their time. There was a lot of work put into the excellent “Kingdom” props and decorations in the Welcome Center and stage area of the church as well as in the classrooms. Thank you to Brian and our volunteers! There were 74 children between those from LECC and from the community. We had some good connections to some new families so please pray that we can continue to build a relationship with them. We will be inviting families to come out for this event to prepare their kids for the upcoming school year. While the families are at our event they can take advantage of free haircuts, eye exams, sports physicals, and school supplies. We anticipate that there will be hundreds of kids at this event; therefore, we desperately need your help in donating items for this ministry. Here are a couple ways you can help for this event. 1. We need school supplies donated. We need Markers, Glue Sticks, Perforated Notebooks, Pencils, Folders with pockets, and Crayons. We have placed a sample of each of these items in the lobby for you to look at. You can drop off donated items in the church lobby at any time. 2. Volunteer to help. We will have many different stations at this event ranging from serving food to inflatable bounce houses. You can sign up for a station in the church lobby. 3. If you feel like you cannot make it to the store to buy supplies or come out on the day of the event, but would like to contribute you may give financially to support this event. You can earmark any gifts to be used to help purchase supplies or to offset the food expense. 4. Help with advertising this event. We are creating an event page on Facebook and we would love to have you “like” it and share it on your Facebook page. Social Media is a great outlet to invite others to this event. Help us spread the word through social media. Thank you so much for your partnership as we serve our community.
